I love you guys for your patience with us who have a weak understanding of how computers work. While we may know basic stuff about installing or even modest understanding of what to do about some problems we have with our PCs, we are still baffled about the ins and outs of other things. I recently asked a question about Still Life and Post Mortem, the latter game is older and works perfectly on my WIN7, the former, newer game would not because of Starforce. I truly appreciate the techy people who took the time (Marian, for one) to tell me this. I'd like to know what is it that GOG and Steam do to older games and games like Still Life that makes our PCs accept and play them? Why hasn't anyone attempted doing this with RIPPER?
