Hi Everybody,
I downloaded this great game, and am in trouble already.
I have found a note telling me where all the symbols are hidden and I have found four of them, however the third symbol, in the list, is supposed be on a column near the books. Is that in the second floor library? On which wall of books?
I have looked and looked and cant find it.

I'll be glad to give anyone a hint! It's so great that Len is making the walkthrough for the game. He made so many great suggestions, and I already made a few little changes to the demo that made it a lot better.

I also added the screen with the suit of armor, since that wasn't really fair to make people guess the final symbol.

I have been looking all over for a fly for the spider web, and can't find it. Please help. Thank you,

Hi Richard,

This is in the full version only.

You go to the balcony; go to the close-up view of the balcony. If you click on the edge, it says you hear some flies buzzing around.

Use the green potion, which is sweet. Put the potion on the balcony.

Catching the fly is kind of tricky too, but I won't go into detail unless you want me to.

JJK, I'm not sure, but I got the impression that the catching of the fly will only apply in the full game...

You're right, Jenny... this is in the full game.

Yes, there is a magic word to etch into the balcony. This is unrelated to the fly, however. You just happen to catch the fly there.

The magic word is a common word, but you will find clues to it in the Book of Serpents. That is the book on the pedestal that is written in a strange code. You need the crystal to decipher the Book of Serpents.

Here is what I have in my inventory: 2 keys, crown, pliers, heart, dagger, 3 vials colored fluid, one sweet, and the bottles of various ucky potions which I can exchange for 3 others. I have checked the spell books, do I need a spell or am I missing something from my inventory? I tried putting the magnet on the balcony, but that wouldn't work. Thought I could entice the little thing down with the sweet water, and trap him that way, but no go.
Should I have done something else before trying to catch the fly? ARRGGHHH

You are using the wrong potions. Go to the lab. and get the three vials of red,blue,green. Use the green vials on the top balcony and keep clicking in the fly and the curser changes to a hand. It took me three times to catch it. The fly flies up to the top of the screen. Keep trying you will get it.

I have been using the sweet green liquid on the fly for hours! However, everytime the hand appears the fly is gone! I have not been able to get the fly and the hand together on the same screen. On occasion, the fly disappears before it even gets to the top of the screen. I can't under stand what I am doing wrong. I was doing this yesterday, but thought that I was missing something and had to do something else first.
Wow! I tried it again, and managed to get it. Don't ask me how because I clicked and the fly disappeared, and when I went to put the liquid on the balcony again....there was the fly in inventory!
If you hadn't incouraged me, I might have given up.

I used the green liquid on the right side of the balcony screen and just as the fly appears I click on him. Do you want a save game?
I don't think you are doing anythng wrong.

My internet connection has been going down every few minutes today, or else I would have checked in earlier.

I'm sorry you had so much trouble with the fly. I wonder if that is too hard. It seems like all the adults have trouble with it, strangely enough, but the kids get that one right away.

I think maybe it's because adults try to use logic, and kids go more by instinct. I was going for the effect of reaching up and quickly grabbing the fly. Maybe I'll have to rethink that one if it's too frustrating.

I had the identical experience ... from your beginning to the end!

I eventually got that darned fly ... but don't know HOW, and as yet I haven't managed to repeat the action. <img border="0" alt="[winky]" title="" src="graemlins/winky.gif" />
