Have to leave for work in an hour but than I'm off for a week and a day. Three-thirty Sunday morning, head across town to pick up my friend and then head out of town about 4am. Fifteen, sixteen hour drive. My first time to Yellowstone and surrounding area.

I was little worried last week, the Boiling River was closed but its open now.

My crazy friend pre-ordered a pizza back in April, so if we make it in time pizza supper Sunday. This week I called in a reservation to tour an old mine outside Butte.

I've got two different hammers to hit the Ringing Rocks with.

The tour in the old mine sounds interesting. I went to Yellowstone/Wyoming and Montana once, and it was a wonderful and memorable experience. I don't imagine any rain will keep you down. wave

Whoa Guybrush, You forgot to make a pit-stop at my house, not too terribly far out of the way. I want to go! Bet you won't pick me up, so you guys have a great time and be safe.

I'm so jealous. yes

When I was a kid we went to Yellowstone Park, up through the Grand Tetons, and Black Hills of South Dakota. yay

We saw Mount Rushmore and much more. I can't remember a better trip I've ever been on. woot

I love that part of our country. smile

Hope you have a great trip. thumbsup

Welcome back Guybrush. Humid gets you too huh? Dry is my favorite weather. Clothes don't stick to your body and I don't sweat. Love my area, but it's been a week of humid. Probably all the visitors from other states who came to ComicCon. When they leave, it will be back to normal. haha

Well our favorite breakfast was donuts from Granny's Gourmet Donuts in Bozeman Montana, we had breakfast there 3 days out of seven other than that hard to choose. Fortunately we walked off the calories from the donuts.

Before I went and ever since I got back there has been talk of the volcano under yellostone erupting and killing us all. Its all nonsense. Five Things Most People Get Wrong About the Yellowstone Volcano

I've only been out west once on a trip that included a white-water raft trip from Jackson Hole, Wyoming, a hike to the glacier at Glacier National Park in Montana, and a visit to Yellowstone. It's on my bucket list to get out there again and to finally make it to California.
