Similar to bowling, Bowl-A-Grams is made up of 10 "frames". In each frame you're provided with ten letters. Award yourself a strike (20 points) if you can unscramble a ten letter word. Award yourself a spare (10 points) if you can unscramble two words using all ten letters. However, you can't split your ten letter answer to make the two words. As an example, if your ten letter word worked out to be "forecaster" you can't use "fore" and "caster" as your spare words. A perfect score, as in bowling, is 300 points.

You can do this on your own and see if you can get a perfect score or you can post an answer one frame at a time with one post in the first 24 hour period. When posting a frame answer, please provide the ten letter word for the strike and the two spare words.

Sometimes lost is where you need to be. Just because you don't know your direction doesn't mean you don't have one.

Nicely unscrambled y'all smile wave

Bob, that's an acceptable word. Think "inept". Other answers could be bookend/rib, biked/boron or biker/bondo....which leads me to my next puzzle.

Good solves to you both. bravo wave

Michele praise That was a tough one. I found this puzzle in a 1976 edition of Dell Crosswords. I like to solve any puzzles that I find before I post something and I struggled with this one. I stumbled on the answer. I was working on another puzzle that had the word "patriot" in it and a light bulb popped up! I don't think I would have figured it out if it hadn't been for that.

On some of these, such as #7 "bombadier", as I solved the two word spare portion I got a clue for the 10 letter word.
