This has been a fun game so far, but is beginning to irritate me with how picky it is about cursor placement. I am not halfway through, yet multiple times, I have tried to select an item or to "use" an inventory tool and the game refuses, acting like I'm trying to do the wrong action or use the wrong tool. This has sent me wandering all over the place, looking for an alternative approach, until I had to look up the WT. Each time, I found that I was doing the right thing. OK, that is a pain in the butt, but not a game killer.

Now, I am trying to unlock the doll house but the key just bounces off, no matter where on the scorpion lock I click the key. I found nothing in the WT that I missed (no other tool for the doll house), so assumed it is more fussiness. Just in case, I checked the Players Forum on Big Fish. There were many comments about other things not working properly in this game, people getting stuck, being unable to finish a puzzle and there being no reset, having the "Hint" function point them to a scene where the action had already been completed, etc., and now I am stuck at this doll house scene. This is a bit more than just people having missed something or being confused and asking for a push. There is more dissatisfaction being expressed about this game than I have seen in a long time.

Have other people had trouble with this game?

I'm sorry about the picky cursor and other difficulties. This probably isn't what you want to hear, but I played this game when it was first released and had no problems with it at all.

I did have a game-stopping problem with Dark Dimensions: Somber Song, however. In one part of the game the screen froze, with one scene overlying another, and I couldn't continue with the game at all; other folks reported the same problem. No fix has been forthcoming. Customer Support gave me a code for a different game. wave

I wrote the guide for the game and don't recall it being buggy. Sorry you are having troubles with it. Sometimes turning off the Custom cursor helps.

Multiple players on the Big Fish forum complained about the picky cursor problem, too. I did not see any suggested work-arounds, but I will look into changing the cursor in Options and see if that helps. Thanks for that idea.

That trick worked! I am off and running, and enjoying the game again. Loved that Angels and Demons puzzle, the Train puzzle, and the sliding tile puzzles. Wickedly difficult. happydance
