Hospice is delivering a hospital bed today. That it will make it easier for everyone. We are going over to see her this afternoon, then on to Dave and Carol's for dinner.

The team of doctors that Susie has is one of the best in the country. Naomi Judd was, I believe, a patient of theirs and supports the ALF(American Liver Foundation).
We went to see her last night. She still has the tube down her, on oxygen, has nutrients going in to her along with other meds. Numbers are holding steady. So that's it...They can't help her? :(

Drac. I am referring to what Bets said about the Liver Foundation that helped Naomi Judd. I thought they were going to help Susie.

Read the rest of the thread, Dar. As luv2travel says, Bets has already told us and she is coming home with hospice. We are all doing our best to provide what little support we can.
Home is still the best and I hope you can all find comfort and peace with her there instead of in a facility. It does sound like Carol is doing well!

Saw Susie yesterday afternoon. She looked much happier. I think she is glad to be home. They were just bringing in the hospital bed when we left. This arrangement is going to be so much easier on Vince. He has lots of help from friends and relatives and some of the friends are nurses and doctors. She gave me a big hug when I walked in. I'll take more of those Susie.
She is on oxygen and gets confused sometimes and is on morphine.
Dar, she is not strong enough for a liver transplant. The doctors have done everything they could.
