When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.

What is Celibacy?

Celibacy can be a choice in life, or a condition imposed by circumstances.

While attending a Marriage Weekend, Frank and his wife Ann listened to the instructor declare, “It is essential that husbands and wives know the things that are important to each other.”

He then addressed the men. “Can you name and describe your wife's favorite flower?”

Frank leaned over, touched Ann’s arm gently, and whispered, “Gold Medal-All-Purpose, isn’t it?”

And thus began Frank's life of celibacy...

I never knew this.

Penguins

Did you ever wonder why there are no dead penguins
on the ice in Antarctica - where do they go ?

Wonder no more ! ! !

It is a known fact that the penguin is a very ritualistic
bird which lives an extremely ordered and complex life.

The penguin is very committed to its family and will
mate for life, as well as maintaining a form of
compassionate contact with its offspring throughout its life.

If a penguin is found dead on the ice surface, other
members of the family and social circle have been
known to dig holes in the ice, using their vestigial
wings and beaks, until the hole is deep enough for
the dead bird to be rolled into and buried.
The male penguins then gather in a circle
around the fresh grave and sing:

"Freeze a jolly good fellow"

"Freeze a jolly good fellow."

"Then they kick him in the ice hole."

haha

You really didn't believe that I know
anything about penguins, did you?

A doctor examining a woman who had been rushed to the Emergency Room, took the husband aside, and said, 'I don't like the looks of your wife at all.'
'Me neither doc,' said the husband.
'But she's a great cook and really good with the kids.'
-----------------------------------

While shopping for vacation clothes, my husband and I passed a display of bathing suits. It had been at least ten years and twenty pounds since I had even considered buying a bathing suit, so I sought my husband's advice.
'What do you think?' I asked.. 'Should I get a bikini or an all-in-one?'
'Better get a bikini,' he replied 'You'd never get it all in one.'
He's still in intensive care.
-----------------------------------

And, my favorite is:

The graveside service just barely finished, when there was a massive clap of thunder, followed by a tremendous bolt of lightning, accompanied by even more thunder rumblin in the distance.
The little old man looked at the preacher and calmly said, 'Well......she's there.'

A Real Man

A real man is a woman's best friend. He will
never stand her up and never let her down.
He will reassure her when she feels insecure
and comfort her after a bad day.

He will inspire her to do things she never
thought she could do; to live without fear
and forget regret. He will enable her to
express her deepest emotions and give in to
her most intimate desires. He will make sure
she always feels as though she's the most
beautiful woman in the room and will enable
her to be the most confident, sexy,
seductive, and invincible.

No wait... sorry... I'm thinking of wine.
Never mind.

Good morning everyboomie. welcome

Three days down, three hundred THOUSAND to go. tired

Well it seems that way. duh

Right now I'm wishing I had some of that wine to go with my whining.

I think I'd like to join AA, but I have to get in the right condition first.

Not really

I've just had a very long hot day is all, and I have 3 more to go. razz

Have a thumping good Thursday everyone. thumbsup

OK everyone. Prepare to be totally jealous. I am typing on my new MEKA G1 Ttesports mechanical gaming keyboard. It's so awesome I can't even breathe. Friend bought it for me for my 'birthday' which isn't till January, but it's a great gift. No more horrible typing (unless I'm going too fast or just can't spell) and it says it's 8x faster for gaming strokes. Wow. This thing drives faster than my car!

Lighted adjustable brightness keys for my computer pull out drawer so I can see it in the dark. Or turn lights off totally if you want so it's just a keyboard. It's really for gamers but for me and my typing it's perfect. No slopping over to other keys with my wide fingers, Just a nice clicky clacky sound. Ahhhh paradise found. Love love love.

Was expensive oh dear. But he got a good price AND a rebate thingy inside so he will get some back. Nice friend. My computer guru who just happens to be my tenant too. We make a good twosome for friend stuff.

Off to watch the house across and wait for the police to arrive to get the second surveillance tape.

Hey antiegram can I move up there too because it's going to be 100 today and the sun is hot and bright and most direct right now. But look on the bright side, it's a good excuse to not do house/yard work and just lay back and browse or game. Enjoy your 70's.

Yesterday I made a pumpkin pie!!! And learned a lesson -never use coconut oil for the crust because when you refrigerate the dough befor rolling it the oil really sets up and the dough is as pliable as concrete. I cussed it out into the pan with my fingers and language. Anyone here who has played killzone 2 knows Language.
Results: pumpkin is delicious because it's organic, canned pumpkin. crust has a good flavor due to the pesky coconut oil

My opossum friend approved of the pie but she left some of the crust. Sorta has a peahen, Penelope and I have an opossum, Smooch.

Everyone take care of your pets in all this heat and happy Thursday

Yes, sorta, I'm jealous -Enjoy

Penelope the Peacock arrived with a FLOURISH this morning after a 4 day absence. I heard this unworldly bird call, never heard anything like it, and then over she flew, flapping her little short wings. She probably flew from the neighbor's roof, across my yard and roof, over the huge pepper tree and landed on my other neighbor's garage roof. What a sight. As she landed, she gave one last HONK. Weirdest thing ever. She came into my yard, harassed the Outdoorsie cats and I tossed her several grapes which she gobbled up,(even though they were red instead of her favorite black ones). Then she headed for my plant barrels looking for bugs and when I came back later, she was gone. Have no idea where she is now. I have a suspicion she is nesting somewhere and that's why she's absent. Probably leaves her nest for only short times. Can't count on babies, since I have never heard a male cry or even 2 cryies from where she probably lives. Poor lonely Penelope. Maybe she can make friends with a turkey? They look alike in the air. Chubby little things with short huge flapping wings. Don't know how she manages to get off the ground!

ACCIDENT at my corner. 2 cars. I had JUST been out at the mailbox and nothing was wrong. Then 5 minutes later, my neighbor called as she was coming home and had seen it. One lady taken to hospital, 2 cars being towed, police all over. One car was nosed into the driver's door of the other, both facing the same direction, but I suspect they 'came to rest' that way after someone probably ran the stop sign. It's a 4 way stop and some people just buzz right through. Hope no really bad injuries. She was up and standing and walking, but maybe just a precaution.

Still waiting for police to get my tape. With all this other stuff, they may never come.

Bored. Nothing to do but wait for police. Penelope went home early. Came late, went early. Something is up.

Orange kitty who is trying to recover from some sort of swelling on his face seemed better again today. More swelling gone, ate a lot of solid food but then tried to cross the road back to wherever he goes most of the day/night and almost got hit. He ran back and disappeared into the neighbor's yard, not to be seen again.

Hope he reappears tomorrow morning looking better and better. Ferals are a hardy bunch. I've seen them recover from very serious stuff including a compound fracture of the leg. After he broke his leg (probably getting caught in a tree branch fall) and we never could trap or catch him, he healed and from then on we called him Gimpy. He lived a long time. Huge ugly tom cat. Survivor.
