The five clue words are derived from an answer word that’s made up of at least eight letters, none of which is repeated. The letters of each clue word appear in the answer word in left-to-right order, though, not necessarily consecutively. For example: the letters in Colt can be found in Complexity, as can the letters in Comply, Exit, Met and Pity. Every letter of the answer appears at least once in the clue words, and one clue word in each set appears in the answer intact (Exit in the example).
As has become traditional, win bonus points and the admiration of your peers for using all five clues and the answer in a suitable sentence.
-1. oat may fry lit rat -2. nab use cram sale cab -3. die bar ale ado and -4. per herb eli yeo hic -5. our sag die cog ire -6. lad phi par her lane -7. love sir ice lip per -8. top shy gray ten nap -9. den aim bit age rid -10. let lac ear tic hag
The moon is actually more useful than the sun since the moon gives us light at night when it's dark. The sun only gives us light during the day when it's already bright out.

10. lethargic Oops, I forgot to use the words in a sentence: The lac insect became lethargic when the hag let a tic crawl in its ear.

4. hyperbolic, nice puzzle! Well, here goes... Per Herb, Eli did yeoman's duty freehand drawing that hyperbolic curve, or as we drunkenly say, "He was a yeo, man...HIC!"
Bob As I've grown older, I've found that my memory is not as good as I used to think it was.
