Now it's late, and I've had a long day, and I'm bone tired. tired

Not an easy time to be chipper and funny, but then 8am in the morning, when I'm trying to wake, up is not eggzactly a great time to be chipper and funny either. wink

Anyway tonight I think I am just dying to check into Slumber Hotel for an all expense paid trip to DreanLand. happydance

Welcome to the weekend everyone, and have a happy day! yay

Joe, I feel about the same way now. Props to you for starting the "morning" threads every night while feeling exhausted. yes Hope you have a great Saturday.

It's late Friday night for me, and I feel about as exhausted as Joe. Luckily, I have a three day weekend, which I haven't had in years. happydance Now I'll just have to try not to dwell on the fact that my home store location is unknown once again. rolleyes lol No plans for tomorrow yet. I may go out with my friend or I may stay in and play more Dreamfall with Thorsgoats depending on who's available/what plan suits which person better. I'm off so I can be flexible. grin

As for now, I'm off to sleep. Have a terrific Saturday, everyone. summer

About the only time I make it to this thread is Saturday morning and I then browse the week's offerings as I raise my cup of coffee to Joe (for whose efforts thanks as always) and the rest of you in the diner.

Have a good weekend all - mine may well include gardening and wallpapering, not necessarily in that order! smile

Happy Saturday all. I've been retired 14 years now and still look forward to Friday night/Saturday. Years ago a TV channel out of Austin aired horror movies, usually 3, on Friday nights and I'd make popcorn and get on the couch and watch then sleeeeep then wake up to static. Ah, the good ol' days.

Kitty Moira is sleeping in the corner here and snoring. Commander Buttons wants to eat again.......What again? The other 2 have dissassembled into the enviaroment (spelling?)

It's a lovely grey-lizard day here and cooler

Way too quiet around here today again. Funny, since the news just announced that San Diego is the Number ONE destination for visitors on Labor Day weekend. Hummm. Well, maybe they are all at the 'attractions' and not in my neighborhood. I have to go shopping so I'm hoping the stores will be empty. Yesterday I made the mistake of going to Wally Mart and it was horrible. Too many people, loads of running kids, no baskets, long check out lines with people who kept sending their kids 'runners' to get something they forgot or had the wrong item. Hate that.

No Peacock for several days. We hear her hooting and honking so she's around, just not on my roof. Actually it's better since Orange kitty, who is still healing nicely, is staying around here more and more. Maybe when he came over (very very ill) from wherever he spends most of his life, they thought he was gone and stopped putting food out? Can't tell. Now he stays here all morning and afternoon, goes 'home' for a few hours and then back over here for the night. Looking so much better. All the fur he licked off his chest is regrowing. Hooray. The 'wound' is getting smaller day by day and isn't looking infected at all. He's wanting to be petted! Wow, a miracle. Comes over BEFORE eating and presents his head for a pet. Nice. Maybe he trusts me now.

Have to go shopping, can't help it, need allergy pills. Darn. Waiting for Costco to open to buzz in and out. Wish me luck.

Busy day. Hubby left for the UK this morning. I never sleep well when there is some big reason to get up the next morning. Hubby is always well organized, so it went well. Then home to feed monkeys and now it's time to feed me, and then, nap wave

Hi all!
L4L, good luck and safe trip to soot! I'll keep you all in my thoughts til he comes home.
I sent a DNA sample to one of the companies who tell you where your ancestors came from, and mine are mostly from the British Isles. Because I'm adopted, I had no clue and not much adopted family left that I was close to. My brother lives in Modesto CA, and my sister lives in Mexico. She has Lyme disease and wanted to try alternative medicine. Her 2nd hubby is with her.
In the middle of this, I went on Facebook and found a private group called Search Squad. I joined the group 9 days ago, and within 24 hours, they had found my birth mother. I had my DNA compared to her daughter and it was proven that we were 1/2 sisters! I now have 2 half sisters, and 2 half brothers and their children and cousins galore! My birth mother is 87 and is in a care facility with dementia, sadly. I want to go as soon as possible to meet her. I won't ask her anything or confuse her. The last thing I want to do is upset her. My new family is wonderful and have been very accepting of me. My half-sister and her daughter live in Calif. near San Luis Obispo, and my mother's facility is there also. When my adoptive mom passed away in 1998, I found my adoption papers so I had my mother's maiden name, but prior to this, everything I had tried to do to find her had failed.
My life has changed in an amazing way!
It's still way too hot, but hopefully, winter is coming my way! LOL!

Andrea wave

PS: The thing that makes me most happy is that I have found people who LOOK like me! I never looked like anyone in my family, and never really fit in. If you go to my FB page, I have some pictures of my mother from her youth that looks exactly like me at that age.
