I won a game using their website. Re-registered; got confirming email. Clicked on link. Tried to log in and keep getting told it is incorrect. Their "support" team is of no help whatsoever.

I wish I could help, Laurette, but I'm not all that knowledgeable about Steam. Have you tried using a different web browser to log in?

If you're talking about logging into the Steam client, make sure you've got the latest version of the client.

If you're talking about logging into your Steam account using a web browser, possible solutions seem to be...

1. what Marian said -- try a different web browser (for example, IE instead of Firefox)

2. try resetting your browser

3. make sure you're logging in with the right password -- the password for "Steam Community" is not the same as the password to your Steam account.

You are saying your activation code didn't work. Did you copy the activation code from where you got the game and paste it in the proper place in steam.
When you open steam the add a game is on the left hand corner. Let me know if I'm all wrong.

Make sure you are in the Steam Client when you do this.
