I'm playing Echoes of the past from BF. Never had this happen before,Just about done with the game anyway. When I go to start the game again this is what comes up on my desktop.
There is no disk in the drive.Please insert a disk into drive D:.
than on the bottom I get,Cancel,try again,continue. I click on them but no good so I restart my PC and it's ok, starts up good. No big deal but I never got that before. I could contact BF but I'm just about done with the game. I will put it over to glitches

I see folks having similar issues here. I don't know if this is the Echoes of the Past game that you are playing, though.

I though I was the only one but I'm not. Must be a big bug. I just finished the game. Must be just in this game.

Glad you were able to finish it. I'd be interested to know what causes that particular bug.

Sounds like some sort of garbage in your cache was affecting the game.
Any cache held in RAM gets dumped when you reboot.
It used to be a bigger problem with Windows 9x, but can still happen on newer NT-based Windows.
