I hate to come across as a dummy but I just started the game and I already need help. How does one access the inventory? I tried hitting various keys, DANGER: DO NOT HIT THE F1 KEY, THE WHOLE GAME CHANGES TO WIRE FRAME WITH NO WAY TO REECOVER. I managed to get an item from inventory using the "e" key but couldn get it to work. Thanks

I moved your post here to Adventure Game Hints and Help. I'll see what I can find out for you - and maybe someone here who has played the game will be able to offer some advice. smile

I did find this information from a review of the game:

Quote:
Exploration works much the way it does in a first-person shooter, minus the shooting. You control your restorer’s viewpoint with the mouse and physically move yourself with the WASD or arrow keys, though these can be remapped as you see fit. You can jump with the spacebar and crouch with the left Ctrl key, but these are almost never used. Left-clicking will attempt to manipulate whatever is in front of you, either by picking it up or activating it. Right-clicking will zoom in slightly, giving you a better view of small print or simply things that are hard to see. You can also press the “E” key to look at whatever object you happen to be carrying.

The inventory system is one of the odd aspects of the game, as you can only carry one item at a time. Pick a second object up and it will exchange itself with the one you’re holding.

Quote:
You can't carry more than one item at a time, nor can you drop items off anywhere you please. If you find something you think will be important, you can teleport at any time to the Case, a special area that's neither the real world nor the memory world, and store it there for later use.

macmac, as you are at the beginning of the game, you will find a room with a big chair in the middle.

After you do what is needed to be able to use the chair, you will get to a room with 4 doors and a lot of space to put down all the items you will find.

For now just use the necessary item to the proper place to use it.

I played a bit of this game but put it away for now.

Good luck.

I took a peek at the video walkthrough and if this is where you sign in for an appointment, it looks like you can just use your own name or any other name you like.
