I'm sure the moderators will move this to the Glitches forum, but the short answer is you can't. Windows 8 comes with Windows Defender already installed which is essentially Security Essentials for Windows 8.

Go to the tiled start screen and start typing in Defender... it will be listed and you can then open it up. It's enabled by default so unless you installed another anti-virus program, it's already working.
Once again, weeds are my life!
