hi Marian, after reading the letter from Triangle Games, the W/T starts Martin's clue: - go home and enter the bedroom. - which bedroom? Carol's bedroom doesn't fit with the story. robert.

You do indeed need to return to Carol's bedroom. I think it will make sense as you continue on with the game.

I'm having a new problem, I've gotten the key from Sten's car and exited the graveyard. But the Pyramid spot on the list of places (on the map) doesn't list the Pyramid and I can't figure out how to get there to unlock it. What have I missed?

At upper floor of Malte's museum - did you read the book about the pyramid close to the entryway?

Hi robert, from looking at the walkthrough, it sounds like after Carol sees the plank left of the door, she then has to take a step backward -then you should be able to use the ladder on the plank.

You are making really good progress with this game.

I don't think you are able to see the plank until you are in close-up mode; did you try that?

Here is from another walkthrough; see if this helps:

Quote:
Turn right and pick up the ladder. Turn 180 degrees and lift the piece of paper on the table. Look at the plank to the left side of the door leading to the house in close-up. Carol says, ”Can this be the plank mentioned in the note?” Look at the plank again. Carol says ”It looks like it’s loose at the top, but I can’t reach there.” After backing out of the close up of the plank, there is a gear wheel icon on it. Use the ladder on the gear wheel on the plank. Climb the ladder by clicking the up-arrow on it.

I'm at the rented house but can't seem to find the bedroom (Carin's). I've found the cat picture and the message but can't seem to find the bedroom with the crib although I have the gold hairpin but still can't find the vanity bag. What have I missed?

Carin's bedroom - As soon as you enter the house through the back - that is Carin's bedroom.
The bed with the vanity bag is on the left (door behind you).

Thanks. Hope this works so I can finish. I'm going to go back and start with the first of the Carol Reed games and work my way through all eight again.

No, I have them all. I just pulled them out of the cabinet and there are ten. I really had forgotten how long I've been collecting them. Anyway, I'm going back to #1 and start again. Thanks for all your help.
