I didn't attend the funeral, but I sent a nice letter saying that I approved of it.
Mark Twain (1835 - 1910)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Accidental Meeting
A woman and a man get into a car accident, and it's a bad one.
Both cars are totally demolished, but amazingly neither of them are hurt.
After they crawl out of their cars, the woman says, "So you're a man. That's interesting. I'm a woman... Wow!
Just look at our cars. There's nothing left, but fortunately we are unhurt. This must be a sign from God that we should meet and be friends and live together in peace the rest of our days."
The man replied," I agree with you completely; this must be a sign from God!"
The woman continued, "And look at this - here's another miracle. My car is completely demolished but this bottle of wine didn't break. Surely God wants us to drink this wine and celebrate our good fortune."
Then she hands the bottle to the man. The man shakes his head, opens it and says "You take the first drink", then hands it back to the woman. The woman takes the bottle, immediately chugs half of it, puts the cap back on, and hands it back to the man.
The woman asks, "Aren't you having any?"
The man replies, "No. I think I will just wait for the police..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

A woman's husband had been slipping in and out of a coma for several months, yet she stayed by his bedside every single day.

When he came to, he motioned for her to come nearer.

As she sat by him, he said, "You know what? You have been with me all through the bad times. When I got fired, you were there to support me. When my business failed, you were there. When I got shot, you were by my side. When we lost the house, you gave me support. When my health started failing, you were still by my side... You know what?"

"What dear?" She asked gently.

"I think you bring me bad luck."

Good morning everyboomie. welcome

Welcome to {{{JOE'S WORLD, JOE'S WORLD}}. yay Party on everybody.

I spent most of my day off suffering from my moderate to severe lethargy. tired

I'm glad to say I have recovered just in time for bed, and I'm pretty sure it won't keep me up. bravo

I do anticipate, however, that by the time I arise, at 4:30am, my moderate to severe disgust for waking, will be aggravated. rolleyes

Couple that with my moderate to severe distaste for going to work, and you have the makings for a real swell weekend. taz

We have had over 3 1/2" of rain since last night. WaaHoo! penguin

Now I have some mud in which to rub all over my body to treat my moderate to severe dry, cracked skin. slapforehead

I hope everyone has a moderate to severely happy day.

Welcome to the weekend!!

Have a happy day Joe!

I'm just having a gay old time here. Seem I have a combination of carpal tunnel syndrome on my left hand now and they may have to put it in a brace if it doesn't get better by next week. I also pinched a nerve in my neck from the sling and have to lengthen it and wear a towel in between the strap and neck. More new pain meds to try and keep it under control. I'm just having so much fun it's hard to hold back all the excitement. rotfl

Have an awesome day all!

Joe, my cats also suffer from moderate to severe lethargy. Maybe it's something that's going around. lol Hope you have a terrific Saturday.

Ana, that's terrible. sad Hope the pain starts to lessen with your meds!

Have a great day, Haroula.

Thanks for the coffee, Gerry.

Have fun shopping with your daughter, Gail. thumbsup

Hope you find something fun to do this weekend, Connie.

Space Quest, I agree about Ana. Hope you have a great Saturday.

I'm off for the weekend. happydance I have no great plans, but I'm excited anyway. lol It will probably take a while for me to get used to it, and for the excitement to wear off.

The only damper on the mood is the fact that we still haven't gotten our assignments for next week, so as far as I know, on Monday I'll be going back to the far away training store. My former manager did say he had seen the assignment sheet for where we would end up. He couldn't tell me exactly where I was going, but he said I would be happy with it, so at least there's that. smile In the meantime, though, I have to spend all this money on gas, and I still haven't been paid yet. Oh well, it should all work out eventually.

For now, I'm going to enjoy my weekend. grin Hope everyone has a terrific Saturday. summer

Hi all. Go to lexingtonleader.com/frontpage/snows and this should tell all and you get a picce of small town BBQ and some residents. I've never been there but it would be an education.

Antigram, Ana how awful -why do some things have to happen. Get well both of you and any other G'Boomers who need it. 1 1/2 years ago I got art in the wrists due to overuse, my workouts, weights, pushups etc, but it healed up except for left hand thumb which is due to the controller. Take your suppliments and may God bless.

This is not a kitty cat day, more like a rainey grey lizard day and cold. And how. I'm in my winter fuzzy warmeys. 2 of my kits have furry long hair and 2 have thin and short coats. The 2 furry fuzzeys went outside in all this bad weather and the other 2 are scouring the house for warm sleeping spots. Rain, you are most welcome and you've been with us since last evening, through the night and still now. Right now it's pouring. goodgoodgood.

On to sudoku and perhaps a picture puzzle

I'll trade your rain for my 90 degrees Yankee! The weather guys say it's going to be in the 90's here on the coast through Tuesday. I think they are wrong. So far it's 80 but so dry it feels like a nice warm cozy hug. Hope the humidity holds and that 90 will be nothing to worry about. Not sticking to the furniture today. Hooray!

Oh, Penelope came late yesterday again. Probably was also here last night. My neighbor got her some 'champagne grapes). Tiny little things that look more like currants. We thought she would love them. She picked one up, 'beaked' it once, and dropped it. Then another same thing. Then another. Didn't like them at all. Oh well. Back to sunflower seeds and maybe I'll try the red grapes again. Greed is a no go, black she eats but not happy with. Gotta try red again.

Outdoorsies are laid out flat. One on a bench, one on the front porch in her kitty bed. One missing so far but he's the wandered with the hurt throat (healing better and better) and he comes and goes. I think he must be a good hunter since he skips days here.

WARNING! This person is extremely blonde...please type SLOWLY.

Yep. Looks like a pretty quiet day from where I'm sitting L4L. lol

Howdy everyone. wave

It's been a long busy day for me. tired

After I got home, I ate a little bit, and relaxed for a minute.

After a minute the realtor came by to ask if I minded him showing the house tomorrow. scared

NOT GOOD! NOT GOOD! shame

I told him I need a week at least just to get some things cleaned up and ready, sheesh!

My brother listed this house way too soon. slapforehead

I went out to mow the lawn, and my mower didn't want to work right, so I mowed the lawn with the push mower.

Then came in and showered.

My sister has gone to her new home in Texas and I'm all alone now except for Baby, Pepper, Tiffy......the cat.......oh yeah and the cows.....the cows came back today. razz

Sis will be back later in the week to move the rest of her things.

I have a 7:00 start tomorrow. Time to get ready for beddie bye.

Have a good night everybody.

joe
