Hello, I was playing through this online Halloween game which Cynch provided a link to in the adventure discussion forum. I'm stuck though. For the life of me, I can't find the lockpick I need to open the fridge in the kitchen. Can anybody help?

Thanks!

In the bedroom where the wig is on the dresser there is a hairpin above it. I used that but don't know what to do with the info. I got all but one of the boxes and still have to get past the bookcase.
Wandering around in total confusion. duh

You won't get past the bookcase until you find all the snacks. Hint: Go where mice go.

Cute game, but I keep getting scared to death! Is there any way to save, or do I have to go clear back to the beginning every time?

And is arranging those books in the correct numerical order supposed to accomplish something...

I just finished the game. Garfield #2 that is. There are two now.
I think the one you are playing Jenny is #1. I think there is a reason to the books but I've forgotten what. Going to go and play it again before my grandson comes. He may know the secret to the book order.
No, you can't save but it goes quickly one you start. wave

Hi Jenny,

They're talking about Garfield 2. I just finished Garfield 1 - the one you're playing. So cute - wait til you hit the music room. Took me a while to find the logic.

I didn't find any save - so have start over and over and over.

The books are not arranged in numerical order... in a library.

Mag,
I didn't have too much trouble with the music room puzzle because it's similar to the logic of the piano puzzle in THE 7TH GUEST, which I recently played.

I love the way game #2 uses the same house but changes and rearranges things to add to the confusion.

Thanks for letting me know DoreenS! I guess I should have applied more logic there. Picklock = hairpin. Where to find hairpin but on a head! evil

The bookcase AGAIN! but this time the 'key' or 'trigger' to get it open is finding all the choc cov donuts, I was told....and I have not found them all yet - and the mice are not in the basement - you have to locate them and 'bonk' them so you can grab the cupcake type donuts and this is the 'other' arcadey game - I will be getting back to the game #2 and will let you know if my try at saving my place worked or not - I clicked on File/SaveAs and saved it in MyDocuments (I think or was it my scratch file?) will let you know later if it worked or failed..... - plan on playing it again and taking copious notes so I can remember what I did and where I was when I did it, as I can't find that 12th donut, only got 11...
Love, Betty Lou

Betty Lou,
In game # 2, you have to find ALL the snacks on the list to open that door.

I see, then the only snack I have not been able to complete is the chocolate covered donuts - mmmmmm, I wonder what is behind the bookcase this time? Don't tell me yet - I am going to try again. It should not be that difficult since this is a kids game but I guess I am not olde enoughe yete..........heehee
Love, Betty Lou laugh
P.S. Saving File/SaveAs did not work - I think I already had an inkling that it wouldn't....have to start all over again. taking notes this time.

Well I have found all the missing donuts, all the donut boxes and all the muffins and I did not have to 'bonk' anything or anyone - EXCEPT I am at a loss to know where else to look for that bag (or box) of mini Powdered Sugar Donuts - and I am getting motion sickness from going round and round and round and round in circles - go in this mouse hole upstairs, come out in a room somewhere downstairs and into another hole and back upstairs, too confusing! HELP please so I can finish this game and get behind that bookcase at last......thanks
Love, Betty Lou

in the second game, there are mouseholes in the skirting boards which you can use to go from room to room, otherwise you can use the doors as normal smile

I knew I should have written down where I found everything.. an excuse to replay smile

tigger, it wouldn't have helped to write them down, they appeared in different places each time you play the game, and trust me I played it many times! LOL! One that WAS easy to miss was the one on top of one of the floor lamps. It appeared on at least two different ones that I saw.

WAH?!!! the mouseholes moved around? I did not notice that, but then using mostly mouseholes and then doorways too I soon get/got confused because you can end up in the same hallway or room by going through different mouseholes - and how did you get into some of the rooms where the mousehole was the only way in?
OK, NOW SOMEONE HIT ME OVER THE HEAD with it - where the heck will I find that bag or box of mini powdered sugar donuts? I haven't a clue!
Oh, wow, a mousehole up on the wall by a table or floor lamp? Now how did I miss that?
So much confusion.

Okay, Betty Lou,
Did you play the "shell game" with the food covers in the dining room?

Did you click on the mirror in the small bedroom bedroom upstairs?

Did you play the spider game?

Lady K.

Edit: I just replayed the game. You missed one of the above. smile

I'm very sorry, Betty Lou, I didn't specify - it is the donuts which move from game to game.

Whne playing "Catch the Muffins" in the attic in game #2, I thought for a moment I was back at the Haunted Carousel playing Barnacle Blaster, but this wasn't nearly so difficult. These were cute games!
