The object of this puzzle is to find the name of a city hidden within a word using the clues given. The first clue leads to the longest word which contains (1) a word to be extracted and (2) the name of the city that will be revealed. The city is spelled out in the proper order within the main word however, in most cases, the extracted word is anagrammed.

Example: appoints (9) -> blemish = nominates - stain OR NOMinatEs

-1. charm (8) -> picnic invaders
-2. layered desserts (8) -> plump
-3. assurance (7) -> drink tea, perhaps
-4. the altitude above sea level that trees stop to grow (10) -> epoch
-5. blueprint (7) -> dark
-6. agnostics (8) -> masculine pronoun
-7. part of a babies Easter outfit, perhaps (9) -> harmonies
-8. a particular landmass as viewed from a nearby island (8) -> conjunction
-9. dreadful (10) -> cloak
-10. expressways (9) -> fringe benefit
-11. deceitful (9) -> temptress

Sometimes lost is where you need to be. Just because you don't know your direction doesn't mean you don't have one.

As I've grown older, I've found that my memory is not as good as I used to think it was.
