You probably already have Flash player.
Here's one way to check
http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/flash-player-issues-windows-8.html

According to the ***Big Fish page for Frankenstein Castle***, it should work on Windows XP/Vista/7/8.

However if you're using a disc version, it may not be updated to work on Windows 8. Some games don't require an update for Windows 8, but some do. Big Fish will offer the latest version of the game.

Are these games you're playing online games?
I thought they were downloaded games that play from your PC, not online versions.

If they're online games that play from a remote server, make sure your antivirus/software firewall is not blocking them.

Also you should check with Wild Tangent rather than your ISP.
https://wildtangent.zendesk.com/hc/en-us...ng-Blank-Screen
Wild Tangent has a link for what to do to send them a DirectX report, which they want for tech support

Is this the Fairies game?

I didn't see the Fairies game at Wild Tangent.

If there's something wrong with the game itself, there's probably nothing you can do on your end, and you just have to wait until it's fixed.

I'd suggest using a better antivirus. McAfee is generally considered to be one of the worst antivirus, if not the worst, and the only reason people use it is because it comes pre-installed on so many computers (McAfee pays the computer companies to include it -- as a form of advertising). Often it's just a trial version that expires in a month or so.

If you want suggestions for a new antivirus, start a new thread with a new title that indicates you're looking for suggestions for an antivirus (not the name of a game).

You can also do a Google search for "Best Free Antivirus 2014" to get ideas for free antivirus. Or if you don't mind paying for the antivirus, Google "Best Antivirus 2014."

Be sure to uninstall McAfee before installing a new antivirus. Also run the removal tool for McAfee (***MCPR.exe***) to get rid of any remnants of McAfee that the regular uninstall may have missed, and which might conflict with another antivirus.

After uninstalling McAfee, if you haven't already chosen a new antivirus, make sure Windows Defender is active on Windows 8. On Windows 8, you can just use Windows Defender as an antivirus. It's built into Windows 8. It's not the absolute best free antivirus, but it's completely free, doesn't expire, and doesn't nag you to resubscribe every year. If you decide to use Windows Defender as your antivirus, you may want to use it along with MalwareBytes or another anti-malware program (not antivirus) along with Windows Defender.

Glad you covered the McAfee removal tool. The last two laptops I worked on that had an expired McAfee on them would not uninstall in any way including the Revo uninstaller. I had to use the McAfee removal tool to get rid of them.
