Hi robert, according to the walkthrough:

Quote:
Search the cargo hold: Go to the back room. Examine the white bulkhead door. Try to open the bulkhead door at left.

Go back to the front area by car. Examine the cell under the stairs, chairs and lockers.

Examine the crate at right and see it has a bullet hole. Examine the bullet hole. It needs to be examined later.

Examine the pipe by the car and shards. Take the bloody pipe.

Go upstairs and try to open the door. Open the door with the pipe. Leave the cargo hold.

Have you done everything above prior to trying to take the pipe?

I need help, the lock puzzle is driving me nuts! Are all of the posts supposed to be pushed up evenly. The lock looks like brass and steel but which parts are supposed to be at the same height?

Maybe this thread will help. The second poster also shows a demonstration.

Thanks Marian. That wasn't a lot of help because the description was not exactly correct, at least not as I read it. However I did finally got it. Perhaps because I was so irritated at the poster for his rudeness to the previous poster that needed the help. Fifty lashes with a wet-noodle would not be sufficient for him.

Yes, I agree with you about the poster. I'm really glad to hear you figured it out, though - good for you. A lot of people had trouble at this point in the game. wave

Robert,

When you are first inside the ship, you will have stairs on your right, entryway to the bar in front of you and exit to outside on your left.
If you press the space bar, it should also show you exits; aside from hotspots. luck

If I remember correctly - the glass roof is inside the saloon-bar area. It is just an active item.
You don't go there.
The "Go outside-upstairs" is by the exit I mentioned above to the outside. There are steps going up to the closed door to the bridge and ventilation shaft.

No - you don't have to go back to a saved game.
If you're in the bar-saloon with the bar on your right - turn around and exit.
Your view should be then facing the cabin-room door (with stairs going down on your left). The exit to outside is on your right.
Once you exit outside, your view should be facing the door to the inside of the ship.
Go right and see steps going up to the bridge and ventilation shaft.

The Baroness' cabin is upstairs from Legrand's cabin.
Climb the stairs and it will be on the right- if the saloon is on your back.

According to the walkthrough, in order to bend the wire, you have to click/hold the wire to shape it.

I think "check all the instruments" just means to look at/notice they are there, before moving on to the next step.
