Until recently, I was one of the 10 people left in America that had not either read the Song of Ice and Fire (A Game of Thrones) series or seen the HBO series. lol

I am now in the second book in the series, A Clash of Kings, and I'm enjoying it. I don't put it in the same category as really top notch fantasy, like Ursula K. LeGuin as one example, but it's a pretty good page turner.

Well you both need to get on board. The Song of Ice and Fire books are awesome and Game of Thrones is one of the highest rated shows on IMDB. Do yourself a favor and check it out. You will be glad you did.

It's nice to be important but it is much more important to be nice.

Totally agree.
I just finished The Magician's Land by Lev Grossman. It is the last of a trilogy that is like a more mature Harry Potter. I have started Half a King by one of my favourite authors, Jo e Abercrombie.

I'm currently reading The 6th Extinction by James Rollins (10th Sigma Force book) and The Nursery Rhyme Murders by Carolyn McCray and Ben Hopkin (extremely dark, graphic and brutal, luv it!!!)

Just as long as the dog isn't Cujo Ana and L4L LOL

Yeah, Sorta, the ending was a surprise. But the real question is how many time has it happened that way? Did he remember if he did it more than the book said at the end?

"Things That Matter" by Charles Krauthammer. Dr. Krauthammer is a psychiatrist, but when he had just started med school he was injured and is now quadraplegic. Through his determination he finished Med.school and is now a contributor for Fox News. Very intelligent and well spoken man.

I have moved out of my usual fare by starting Elizabeth George's Just One Evil Act. I've read (and watched) all of the Thomas Lynley series so far.
