Is there a skip in the floating deduction(B key} I can't figure it out at all.

No. It's the main puzzle for each case.
Read the explanation at the top part of the walkthrough.
It explains how the deduction works.
Then the wt has all the steps to deduce depending on who you think is the culprit.
There are several deductions - because there are several endings. smile

If you still do not understand how it works, I can go step by step again.

Thanks MaG will give it a go again. I think I will start the first case over again and use the WT. Should I delete the other saves.

If you start over I believe that your original saves will be overwritten, so no need to manually delete.

Stuck almost at the ending of Blood bath I'm trying to open the gate at the Mithras altar.I looked at the broken lamp and Sir Rodney was never there. I saw the knife in the other side of the gate.
The WT said to press Q to change characters I press the Q but nothing happens. All my other functions work.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Would you know Rushes. Thanks
Richard

Richard, go look at/inside all the cages around the perimeter of that room. Have Sherlock turn the only valve available. When he says "Watson, I need your help" that's when you can change characters. You will need to gain access to all the valves that are locked behind doors, and need to switch back and forth multiple times. Be prepared to spend all day on that puzzle.

You change character between Holmes and Watson. You should see Watson now.
The comments about Sir Rodney and the murderer are made by Holmes after you saw the broken lamp.

I've been at every room at Kew Gardens for about a week and can't get Scotland Yard to show up on the map. I've used the deduction and no luck. The WT says to go to Scotland yard but I can't go. Thanks

Hi Richard, I moved your post from the walkthrough thread to your original thread for the game.

Are you following the plotline that actually necessitates you to go to Scotland Yard? There are a number of possible endings, and not all of them require it.

Do you now have the task to:

Click to reveal..
Effect the arrest of Martyn Hamish
?

Or what deduction line are you following? smile

I hope this is the right place to past a question.I'm inside the Colonial collection room close to the door and pressed f key I should see three Dunne figures but I only see two figures. The WT says to see three not two. Something must be wrong. I'm just at the start of Kew Gardens. I got number 1 breaking the door, number 2 knocking over the plant. Holmes says no that isn't right. I don't see a third one.. Thanks
Richard

Be sure that you have checked the floor and the plant stands - pots on shelf and broken one.
Then do the reenactment. Be sure that you are in a position out of the way; so you can see all the actions.
I presume that you might be standing where one of the action is happening. laugh

Please use this thread if you have anymore questions. Thanks.

They kind of go to the left a little so I will move over to the right a little. maybe I can get a better view. I know why I didn't see three figures I missed some blood by the lily pond. Now what do you use to click on the figure with. There isn't any curser or arrow. Thanks
Richard

Have the same problem as kjos! I think that is due to the fact that I cannot get the broken pot to click on it. With the special vision I see the door, the broken panel, the esconson, the new handle, the marks and dirt on the floor and dirt on shelf but not the pot . Without special vision I see the broken pot but cannot click on it.

In the reproduction only the two images - broken door and fall can be chosen. Is there an event that triggers the lit pot?

Did you see blood next to the broken sign in front of the door next to the lily pond ,that's what triggers the third image that's what I missed the first time.

Be sure to click on (under T key view):
-dirt on the floor by the broken pot.
- the dirt on the side of the shelf.
- the broken pot on top shelf.
- floor to see footprints.
- thin black tracks and the large black tracks.

Then when you do the reenactment be sure to stand out of the way of the ghosties, luck

Thanks MaG!

I Don't see the broken pot, I really see it without special vision but cannot click on it and it does not lit up with special vision.

I see and click the dirt on the floor and on the bottom shelf, the footprints - thin and large

Face the plant shelves while standing with the door on your left and the pool on your right.
See if you can see better between first or third person view. Toggle the R key. Keep us posted.

I tried, no luck, I changed to third person, the same, the pot keeps unlit.

I have to go know because I have friends coming, I'll tried everything again tomorrow and let you know.

I have restarted the case and it is the same.

Have fun with friends.

The pot in question is at the very top shelf.
Try the reenactment again.
When I first played this part - I missed the thin black tracks and the large black tracks. These are close to the open door. This will trigger Holmes saying that he staggered.
