I just finished playing Riddle on the Rails, Just started playing Blood Bath Infect the game didn't start it just froze. Those white circle of dots in the right hand corner weren't moving at all. The screen just went blank. Had to press Esc to get back to my desktop. Is there anything else I should do. Thanks
Richard

Did you just quit at that point or did you try to start the game again and see if your save worked? If the problem doesn't repeat and block you from reaching the next level, I'd just ignore it, start up the game again, and continue where I left off.

Also, I've read that this game has extremely long load times. So if this happens again, you may just want to leave it alone for a few minutes to see if it eventually gets out of it.

You may want to make sure there aren't any programs doing scanning while you're playing the game. And make sure your antivirus has an exception for the game's exe. An antivirus may block a game when it tries to autosave.

What video card do you have and what version of the drivers?
dxdiag should give you that information on the Display tab.

It may be that a different version of your video drivers will make the game more stable.

But considering all the anti-malware programs you've mentioned installing in other posts in the Glitches forum, my first thought is to make sure you don't have a lot of scanners going in the background while the game is playing. Maybe there is some way to pause your anti-malware programs or temporarily turn off real time scanning while you play the game. If you are able to add an exception for the game's exe to your antivirus settings, you probably don't have to turn off your antivirus (though this may vary depending on the antivirus and whether it does what you tell it to).

Jenny never thought the antivirus could be blocking it from starting. I finished Riddles on the rails. Will check into the blocking antivirus. I don't which one could be doing it but will try to disable it. thanks

Have you checked how to add an exception to your antivirus?
Which antivirus are you using?
You shouldn't have to turn off your antivirus if you can add an exception to it.
The other anti-malware programs you may want to pause while you're playing the game.

I paused all of the antivirus programs. Nothing helped. I let the game load for 5 min. Those little blinking dots at the bottom of the screen aren't blinking, they aren't moving at all. I've only got two of them and paused them. Maybe I should install the game again.
Here is the video card I have, nvida GeForce, GTX660,total memory 4038 MB

Hopefully, you only have one anti-virus - your AVG free. Your SuperAntiSpyware is the free version which does not run in real time. Is Malwarebytes the paid versions? If so, it will run in real time, but CCleaner and AdwCleaner do not run unless you tell them to.

I have malwarebytes and not paid. How come the other cases played good. Loaded fine. I think it's more than antivirus. I can't delete the game and reinstall it than I will loose all my saves. Something else is wrong in the setup with Blood Bath.
I finished the second game fine. I guess I better contact steam.

Then you shouldn't have anything except for AVG free running in real time. I think Steam is the right place to go... sounds like more that anti-virus.

I doubt very much if uninstalling would delete your save games (at least not without asking). To be on the safe side the just make a copy of the save folder before you do. It's in your Documents/My Games folder

That's a good idea mj2c. I can't run it now so I'm nothing out.
