If anyone is playing this game yet, I am hopelessly stuck waiting for 7 p.m. I have absolutely ran out of conversation with all and clicked on every hotspot. I wonder if I have clicked on hotspots prematurely and have eliminated the "trigger" too early.

Solved the previous problem. You cannot "trigger" events too early. This game is very absorbing. Been playing all day. My advice is to talk to everyone and then keep talking more. When you feel stuck with no more conversation then do some pixel hunting. There were two times when I really had do look carefully. Also, be sure to right click some of the items in inventory. Well, I'm halfway through Chapter 2 and enjoying the game immensely.

Arghhhhhh I am stuck in Chapter 3 on a dreaded slider puzzle. Please someone help. I have no idea what pattern they want to end up with <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="confused.gif" />

Manxman- how did you finally get to 7 oclock? I'm just waiting and the clock struck 12!

When 7 actually comes around the game will take care of itself. You need to do everything else first. Click on objects, talk to everyone etc...There may be some possible pixel hunting to do.

One thing I kept missing is right clicking the shrub bush by the old tower where William fell. Also there is a book taped to the underneath of the drawer in the towerstudy when you get there.

Hey Manxman, I'm stuck too. I'm in the attic and have removed the boards from the door to the tower. The door is locked, like what else is new, huh? I cannot find a key or anyone to ask. I've seen the symbol on the wall where William fell but don't know what it represents. Went to the library to find information but no luck. How do I accomplish that?

I finally figured that out but she wouldn't give me the key. She doesn't want anyone in William's study, no way, no how! Got the film from Robert and took a pic of the symbol on the wall but can't go to town to get it developed. Talked to Henry, the gardener, and asked him for the claim ticket to retrieve the stone w/ruby that he pawned. He doesn't know where it is and no amount of badgering will help. So I'm stuck in several places. Time to call it a night and start fresh tomorrow.

Thanks Page, that worked. Now I'm wandering aimlessly waiting for 7 o'clock. Any suggestions? I didn't get any hints except that the doctor will have William's belongings sent to me at the main gate at 7 o'clock. What to do while waiting???

Talk to the stable guy and then go to town and the church.

Talked to the stable hand and went to town and the church. Talked to the gravedigger at the church. Couldn't enter the church, priest not there. Went around to the cemetary and looked at William's headstone. Went back to town but no change there. Went back to main gate at the manor and received the box of William's belongings. There was no key in there. Darn! What to do now!!!

talk to gravedigger again- I think that's what I did. Did you talk to everyone in town?

I talked to the gravedigger three times and he doesn't want to talk to me anymore. Went into town and talked to barkeep and customer, no more to talk to them about. Can't say anymore to fisherman. Pawn shop still closed. Can't find Hermann since he left the library. I was really counting on finding William's key in the box of his belongings so I could get into the tower but all I found was a pocket watch. Nothing in my inventory can be combined. Kinda stuck!!!

I am also stuck awaiting 7 o'clock. I was wondering how to get the conversation with the gardener, Henry about the stone with ruby. I don't have this item and cannot start any new conversations with him. I also cannot go into town or the church. I have taken the picture of the symbol and have been told where I can get it developed but am not able to go to town. Any help would be appreciated.
