Though it sounds absurd, it is true to say I felt younger at sixty than I felt at twenty.
Ellen Glasgow (1873 - 1945), The Woman Within, 1954

The woman within me is moaning just as much as the man. rolleyes
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A priest is walking down the street one day when he notices a very small boy trying to press a doorbell on a house across the street.
However, the boy is very small and the doorbell is too high for him to reach.
After watching the boy's efforts for some time, the priest moves closer to the boy's position.
He steps smartly across the street, walks up behind the little fellow and, placing his hand kindly on the child's shoulder leans over and gives the doorbell a sold ring.
Crouching down to the child's level, the priest smiles benevolently and asks, "And now what, my little man?"
To which the boy replies, "Now we run!"
A very attractive woman goes up to the bar in a quiet rural pub. She gestures alluringly to the bartender, who comes over immediately.
When he arrives, she seductively signals that he should bring his face closer to hers. When he does so, she begins to gently caress his full beard.
"Are you the manager?" she asks, softly stroking his face with both hands.
"Actually, no" the man replies. "Can you get him for me?" she asks. "I need to speak to him," she says, running her hands beyond his beard and into his hair.
"I'm afraid I can't", breathes the bartender. "Is there anything I can do?" "Yes, there is. I need you to give him a message" she continues huskily, popping a couple of fingers into his mouth and allowing him to suck them gently.
"What should I tell him?" the bartender manages to say.
"Tell him", she whispers, "There is no toilet paper or hand soap in the woman's room."
teacher asked : Why are you late for school?
Johnny: Because of the Sign.
Teacher : What Sign?
Johnny : The sign that says "School ahead go slow"
~~~~~~~~~~~

A little girl asked her mother, "How did the human race appear?"
The mother answered, "God made Adam and Eve and they had children, and so was all mankind made.."
Two days later the girl asked her father the same question.. The father answered, "Many years ago there were monkeys from which the human race evolved."
The confused girl returned to her mother and said, "Mom, how is it possible that you told me the human race was created by God, and Dad said they developed from monkeys?"
The mother answered, "Well, dear, it is very simple. I told you about my side of the family and your father told you about his."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The head nun tells the two new nuns that they have to paint their room without getting any paint on their clothes. So the one nun says to the other, "Hey, let's take all our clothes off, fold them up, and lock the door."
So they do this, and begin painting their room. Soon they hear a knock at the door. They ask, "Who is it?"
"Blind man!"
The nuns look at each other, then one nun says, "He's blind, he can't see. What could it hurt." They let him in.
The blind man walks in and says, "Hey, nice t*ts sisters. I'm here to hang the new blinds"
~~~~~~~~~~~

A divorce court judge said to the husband,"Mr Geraghty,I have reviewed this case very carefully and I've decided to give your wife $800 a week."
"That's very fair,your honor," he replied. "And every now and then I'll try to send her a few bucks myself."
~~~~~~~~~~~
I came over to my blonde friend the other day and said, "Hey look a dead bird."
She looked up in the sky and said, "Where?"
~~~~~~~~~~

A blonde decided she needed something new and different for a winter hobby. She went to the bookstore and bought every book she could find on ice fishing.
For weeks she read and studied, hoping to become an expert in the field. Finally she decided she knew enough and out she went for her first ice fishing trip. She carefully gathered up and packed all the tools and equipment needed for the excursion. Each piece of equipment had its own special place in her kit.
When she got to the ice, she found a quiet little area, placed her padded stool and carefully laid out her tools.
Just as she was about to make her first cut into the ice, a booming voice from the sky bellowed, "There are no fish under the ice!!"
Startled, the blonde grabbed up all her belongings, moved further along the ice, poured some hot chocolate from her thermos, and started to cut a new hole.
Again the voice from above bellowed, "There are no fish under the ice!!"
Amazed, the blonde was not quite sure what to do as this certainly was not covered in any of her books. She packed up her gear and moved to the far side of the ice. Once there, she stopped for a few moments to regain her calm. Then she was extremely careful to set everything up perfectly--tools in the right place, chair positioned just so. Just as she was about to cut this new hole, the voice came again.
"There are no fish under the ice!!"
Petrified, the blonde looked skyward and asked, "Is that You, God?"
The voice boomed back, "NO THIS IS THE MANAGER OF THE SKATING RINK!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Good morning everyboomie. welcome
I'm already working on bed time. Tomorrow is a 3:30 wake up. tired Ugh
My brothers have gone back home. They're like weekend warriers. taz
We 'almost' finished up with the cabinets. slapforehead
After they left I had another guy come and ask about the house. This guy was talking to his brother on the phone, who is retiring soon from General Dynamics. yes
He was very interested, but said his brother wouldn't want it if he didn't get the mineral rights. shame
Sorry dude! duh
Who sells mineral rights with the property now-a-days? think
Since I don't sleep well on an empty stomach, I'm going to the fill up station before bed.
Have a happy day everyone.
Good morning and good night boomers, I'm off to bed. I hope you all have a pretty good Monday...just kidding, I hope it's really good! smile wave
Joe, this is what I've been told, I haven't researched it so take it with a grain of your favorite mineral...
It used to be the norm that mineral rights were included with the sale of property. That largely changed when developers started to buy up large parcels of land, sell off the mineral rights (and other rights too, probably) and subdivide the parcels into smaller lots with a home on each lot. Most homeowners never knew that part of the natural rights of their property were not sold to them.
Good morning everybody. wave
A big storm got Baby up..set at about 2:30, so you know who else is up..set. rolleyes
No since crying over lost sleep.........Bologna! cry
Ana we have 28 acres of mineral rights. It can be worth a lot. Mom was getting $10,000 every three years leasing her mineral rights, which as I understand it is the right to come in here and drill wells. If oil or something is discovered then the property owner gets royalty payments. yes
Today I work from 5:00 till about 9:30 or 10:00 then I go to the VA clinic for my checkup. happydance
I hope everyone is going to have a fantastic day. thumbsup
Hello and have a great day everyone. wave
I'm off for another work whoosh. I had to take kitty version Venus to the emergency vet last night, so my biggest challenge today will be staying awake. She's on antibiotics now, and we're waiting for some test results to come in. I may leave work a little early just to check on her, but at least I don't have to split my day up as I thought I would when I had originally made her appointment for today. She had her first dose last night, so I'm off to see if she's any better or still dragging her paws. smile
And now I really have to run. smile Have a great Monday, everyone. fall
Magnificent Monday ya'll puppy
Miss Seagy has a "check the lymph nodes" appointment this morning. No reason to expect anything except a big thumbs up. Afterwards, I'll get all the monkeys to the park, and the rest of the day will be devoted to bookkeeping.
Venus, prayers going up for kitty catrub
It's almost closing time at the Diner, but I finally made it. Been doing watering all day on the trees in my yard, which sadly are dying due to lack of rain. I might lose one, had no idea how bad it was, and maybe two. Sigh. I hate using water (expensive) but I let each tree soak for 1/2 hour. Only 2 more trees to go tomorrow. The ants and bugs are very upset where I soaked. Poor little bugs, but Penelope the Peacock is having a feast. She's been here twice today. She got something 'big' and yummy off the underside of my jade tree. It took her a bit to finish it off. Maybe a grasshopper.
Still Hot and dry and more to come. Wish it would just cool a bit and maybe rain. We NEED rain. Going to lose all my plants. My yard is nothing but dirt but that saves mowing. Hope the trees live. Now to convince my tenant down back to use his hose and water 3 huge bushes before they die. I planted them as a visual break at the end of the driveway after people kept driving on the grass and one got stuck over a concrete ledge left from an old structure. This was despite the sign and verbal warnings to NOT drive on the grass. Fun times. So the bushes do the job. So dry, pray for rain.
Off to find the peacock and see if she wants some grapes.
WARNING! This person is extremely blonde...please type SLOWLY.
Hi L4L. What's a slider pleaseandthankyou? No idea.
I'm just trying to wind down from work. Tomorrow is when all of Barbara's sisters fly home. It's been a lot of work but very enjoyable. They are all such wonderful people. I have favorites but I'll never tell. smile They leave Barbara's at 9:00 tomorrow morning. It'll be quiet at the Blisses tomorrow. A letdown for sure.
I hope you all had a great day today. Ana are you still in slug mode? That's perfectly OK my Dear. You really deserve a break.
I'm off to find my pillow now. Back to work in the morning. Not as early as poor Joe though. Glad of that. Sorry Joe. smile
Night all.
Midgie hearts sleep
Just do it.
