Here is what is on the task list: (although I can't do any of them)
- Find out what to do with the Greek letter panel in the tunel
- Compile a Greek alphabet
- Figure out the meaning behind the tablet entry about famous Greeks
- Open the letter box on Xenia's table
- Trugger the keypad in Tartarus
- Figure out what's inside the three judges trunk
- Find the password for the Authentication Database

If I try to do any of those things Nancy says "I can't do this now", "I need to find out how to do this first" or "hmmmm".

For the Greek alphabet, you need a blank piece of paper and some charcoal - do you have both of those items?

Assuming you have access to them at this point in the game, you can get the blank piece of paper from the printer in Melina's office, and you can get the piece of charcoal from the workshop.

Hello again. Am working on the scales. I am following your walkthrough. I understand weighing the three of each color against the other. Then, because they are not equal. I try to keep one and weigh the other two but obviously, I am doing something wrong.

I had trouble with this too - the first time I solved this puzzle, it was through trial and error. Saving my game right before this puzzle so that I could easily reload and get back to it was a help.

To reiterate the instructions, though: Weigh six stones first, three on either side. If the six stones are equal, weigh the remaining two and judge the heavier one. If the six stones aren't equal, weigh two stones from the heavier tray. If those two stones are equal, judge the remaining stone from the first weighing's heavier tray; otherwise, judge the heavier stone of the pair.

luck

Thank you. I have so many saves on this game that they might be longer than the game. I finally figured the scales out. This game was delightfully challenging and a great game. Thanks for your walkthrough and your help.

Hi everybody, its confused again, I did as MaG suggested and rang Melina who did indeed tell me to find out what Niobe is up to, but I am still dying when I try to enter the workshop, if no one has any better ideas I will have to go way back and replay, this time following the w/t carefully hardwall

If you have the paper/workshop notes that you find in Tartarus giving you directions to disable the alarm in the workshop, then I don't know why the game wouldn't allow you to try to do the alarm puzzle.

Maybe someone else will have an idea. sherlock

Monbron,

Just to verify -
- you enter the workshop through the secret door at the tunnel.
- You enter and the alarm goes off. You look close and click on the alarm panel on the wall and get a close up.
Or did you die immediately?

Thanks MaG Yes I enter the workshop via the secret door and the alarm goes off, but before I can get to the alarm panel I die!! cry However I go so fed up with trying to work out what I had forgotten, that I deleted all my saves and started the game again and this time I am following your w/t instead of doing my own thing and then checking, its like a whole new game so lets see where I get to, but thanks for your replies and I will let y'all know what happens. I just know its something that I have not done, because I have been here before in other games and ended up very embarrassed when I realised my stupidity. thanks dance

Good luck. The game is non linear - so things can be done differently from the walkthrough. Enjoy the new run.
I doubt it is because of stupidity. It might just be a note - a dialogue...

Okay, I just ran into Niobe in the museum in the play costume. Then I went through the secret door and ran into her dressed in black.
How did she change places and clothes so fast? It was only seconds. smile

Some other folks have noticed this on the Her Interactive forums - I didn't notice this, but it's definitely a small mistake that they made with the game, unless Niobe has magical powers or has a twin. laugh

I think everyone in this game is crazy.
Or they have split personalities. Or they have evil twins. Could explain how Niobe changed places so fast.

I theorize it as Niobe just put a black smock over her costume to keep clay dust and the like off of her costume. I'm guessing HER didn't expect people to notice her in the main hall and workshop at the same time.

I think everyone is crazy. One second they are nice and the next second they are screaming at Nancy. Irrational people abound at this museum.

How are you supposed to do the spider puzzle?
I can't get anything to work on it.

You have to slide the bars in a horizontal direction in order to free up a passageway for the spider to be able to go from top to bottom. I believe I clicked/dragged the bars back and forth.

Now I can't get the judging stones to work. I can't click on anything after I put stones on the scales.

I remember that you press the judges' button after placing the stones. Keep playing around with it and you'll get the idea, I think.
