Using word play, I've 'hidden' a one-word American city in a sentence. The clues will consist of two or more consecutive words, and a hint to the city's home state will be provided. I've included an example before Question one. Have fun!
Ex:I saw my son dance the Tango with his wife on our Midwest vacation.
Answer: Sundance ('son dance').

-1.I finally won the pot with a pair of aces and a pair of jacks in the first annual "Southern Comfort" poker tournament. (Mountain's "Queen"!)

-2.From what I've heard, all Benny Hill's and Rowan Atkinson's "Mr. Bean" TV episodes are available on DVDs at stores in Northeast. (Home state of old "New Amsterdam")

3.Because of the humidity in the South, is it better to use tile or linoleum on kitchen floors? (Not biggest, but almost!)

-4.According to pet groomers in the Pacific Northwest, it's best to comb a long-haired dog or cat gently, to prevent excess hair removal. (It's not ALWAYS green!)

-5.I've heard that an apple is much tastier picked right off the tree in some areas just off of the Atlantic Ocean. (Walk the "Old Line")

-6.I know government safety regulations can be very strict, but can OSHA really close down a business by Lake Michigan because of faulty wiring? (A slice of Cheddar, please!)

-7.The French tourist found that he had to repeat himself over and over again to be understood during his visit to the New England area. (The Bee Gees liked it, Arlo did too!)

-8.No boy can enter the girls locker room, and no gal is allowed in the boys restrooms during school hours in the Southwest. (That there is one big ditch!)

9.Just north of Texas, Sara saw a snake, Sammi saw a sheep, Stephen saw a sparrow, but did anyone see the salmon Sally saw? (I'm OK, thanks. How about you?)

-10.A slight rule change for the last question, as you will be looking for a famous 'neighborhood' rather than an actual city.

I can't believe I flew for hours over an empty ocean to get here, yet no one can tell me why Kiki Dee and Elton John cancelled their show tonight!

wink

Sometimes lost is where you need to be. Just because you don't know your direction doesn't mean you don't have one.

As I've grown older, I've found that my memory is not as good as I used to think it was.
