If you arent going to use it again then just uninstall it. You can always reinstall it if you need it again.

ok will do. If I scan my computer will it hurt gameboomers web site. seems so good to have it back on my desktop. Wonder why I lost it. Another thing I went into my E-Mail and I didn't have to enter my password. I always had to enter it before. Seems good. You sure helped my PC.

Team Viewer is one of my #1 tools! I've use it many, many times - sometimes to do something like this and sometimes just to explain something to someone. You can even open up a chat box so you can type to each other.

What scan are you talking about?

A virus scan wont hurt it but something like CCleaner might clean your history/password stuff. Note, your passwords will still be stored in Firefox but the first time you load a site after using CCleaner (for ex Gameboomers) it might ask you to type it in again.

Unless you tell CCleaner to leave your Gameboomers cookie (or any other site) alone! Open up CCleaner, click on Options on the left and then cookies. Find your Gameboomers cookie and move it over to the right side. Now CCleaner will leave it alone.

Thanks you Draclvr will do. I think I did that awhile ago but I will check to make sure. I moved a few over to the right side and it's a good thing I looked Game Boomers was way down at the bottom along with a few WWW. moved it to the right. It had a www.before it. Thanks for telling me to check.

I wish I had never seen this post. I decided to put the GB shortcut on my desktop and I have no idea what I did but several of my other icons/shortcuts take me to GB. I was going to do a restore but my PC has no room for backups so I will have to go back to Sept 8. and will lose a lot of the new items. Any ideas how to fix the icon/shortcut situation?

You could copy the new items to a Flash drive and then use System Restore.
But if all your new items are in your Documents folder, they shouldn't be affected.

No Jenny, I have some games I'd like to keep and really not sure what else. Do you have any idea what I might have clicked on to cause my problem? I just clicked on Bing and typed in my search and it came here to GB with the Bing tab behind the GB tab. What a fine mess I've gotten myself into!

You should have mj2c help you using Team Viewer. He sure helped me a lot. I didn't think it could be done.

Have you tried System Restore?

If you don't want to do that, why don't you delete all the shortcuts that aren't doing what you want and just reset them? I'm always about the simple way first!

Drac. If I do a system restore won't I lose a lot of things that I want to keep since I have not done a backup since Sept. 8?. That's what I originally was going to do when I realized my back up problem again.
I will try to remove the icons and hope I can replace them on the desktop, there are several of them.
Thanks.

Gee, it's a real mess. I have many icons and I mean many that take me to GB! I'm done..........I am so tired of making so many problems for myself, I just don't have the patience or temperament for this. smashpc
Thanks ever so much for trying to help!

Backing up has nothing to do with System Restore. System Restore makes Restore points periodically depending on your settings.

Ok group, I'm back. Decided to do a restore. It appears that not all things have changed. I must have set something and it won't correct it. Presently I am showing gameboomers with the World Weather Online tab behind after clicking on the world weather icon. If I click on GameBoomers in Bing I get gameboomers-Bing on the back tab with the b icon and GB on the front tab with red icon. I deleted some of the icons and now I can't get rid of GB, however I did delete that icon. Does anyone have a clue what I did?

Secondly, since I had not been able to do a recent backup I thought that meant that the restore would go back to the last backup, apparently I was incorrect!

Yes Drac. I realize that now. Thanks. I just thought they went hand in hand.
I think it might have been because on the Restore page it had the last back up date so I just assumed.

Today all seems well with my PC, the problem has been rectified. However I do have a question about something else but am going to wait another day or two....I'll give you a short break. wink
