Reenie and Melia, glad I could help both of you, albeit for different reasons. lol As for the episodic model, I feel that way about TellTale now, as their episodes have gotten so short. It hardly feels worth it to just play for an hour and a half, so I will probably wait to play their next two games when they're finished.

Chapters is different for me though, for two reasons. One, I am far more impatient since it's my favorite game series. lol Secondly, if the first episode is anything to go by, they are much meatier than the average episode, even compared with TellTale's old model, so I feel I'm getting a lot more out of the experience. So for those who choose to wait, look at it this way - at least you'll get quite a sizable game when it's out in full. grin

Hi. can anyone say if the price asked for DreamFall Chapters is for each chapter or for all the chapters (like The Walking Dead season episodes there was one price)? I really liked all but the sword fighting in these games, but I am waiting for 'Prominence' due soon and have limited game enjoyment funds. Thank you!

The price for Chapters is for a Season Pass, which includes all episodes. You do not have to pay for each episode separately. Also, there is no combat or stealth in this game, unlike the original Dreamfall. smile

You can read a review of Dreamfall Chapters - Book One: Reborn on Polygon here:
(Warning: Do not read the first half of the screen as there's spoilers a plenty)

http://www.polygon.com/2014/11/6/7170023/dreamfall-chapters-book-1-reborn-review-pc-windows-mac

The conclusion:

Quote:
WRAP UP:
DREAMFALL CHAPTERS - BOOK 1 IS A TANTALIZING TASTE OF WHAT'S TO COME
Dreamfall Chapters - Book 1: Reborn revels in the details. As the first act in a longer story to come, it rewards you with effective writing in the moment for taking your time and deliberating over the smallest decisions. It’s still too early to tell how satisfying the payoff for these divergences will be, but Book 1 isn’t about consequences. It’s a series of small, deliberate steps that efficiently clears the way for longer, more exciting strides.

As for the controls, can you use the wsad keys to move? or do you have to use both the wsad keys and the mouse?

Great review, thanks Karsten! thumbsup As for the controls, you can use wasd, or you can use the arrow keys, which is my preference. I didn't know this, but apparently, you can also hold down the right mouse button to walk and both buttons to run, using the mouse as a camera, which may actually be the preference for the average adventure gamer. I just tried it out, and it's actually really fluid. Also, even with the keyboard option, I found it a lot easier to use the mouse as a camera as I moved the character(s). That way, you're not dealing with Zoe or Kian moving in a direction you may not want them to. smile

AWESOME! Thank you for your response, Venus. Dreamfall had some hard parts to it that I FINALLY learned to like but that fight at the beginning nearly drove me away. I guess this one is a go.
