These clues, listed alphabetically, lead to a word ladder where one letter is changed from the previous word to create the next word. Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to recreate the ladder. The first and last word in each ladder have some type of relationship.

Example: determination, female spouse, fish breather, spend time pleasurably, word with cover and scout

will, wife, gill, wile, girl -- Put in order girl - giLl - Will - wilE - wiFe

4-Letters

-1. fissure, movie title "Das ----", plant part, primitive floating transport, uproar, word with life and house

-2. a male deer, a pastry, a wrongful act leading to civil liability, difficult, separate, tender

--3. castle surround, cover, hip, old silly person, raise the temp, vegan no-no

-4. a full-house perhaps, affectionate, grub, locate, rear, unit of measure

--5. chimney, escape, liberate, saddened, sincere, word with stand and house

-6. hock, manhandles, moves a camera horizontally, ruler, sonar sound, twinge

-7. ancient timepiece content, conserve, dispatch, having a full set of marbles, ooze, plant a garden, secure castle area

5 Letters

-8. a metallic sound, bird or machine, censor, crop up, empty, got up, have a wound, hibernate, homonym of a synonym for aces, likely, mix, old hag, tasteless, turning device

Sometimes lost is where you need to be. Just because you don't know your direction doesn't mean you don't have one.

As I've grown older, I've found that my memory is not as good as I used to think it was.

The best math you can learn is how to calculate the future cost of current decisions.

Really close, michele but the last word needs to be changed. I know that tender means sore and that it fits the string but it doesn't have an association with "hard". sad
