I have almost finished this game but at the moment I am completely stuck.I have back tracked several time to see what I have missed but cant pick anything up:.I am in Day 3:.. 7 AM to 10 AM...playing as Gracie, have successfully drawn the wall on the map ( or so it seems) but then I have to place a "Hexagram" on the map but when I try to do so Gracie says she is not ready for that shape yet....can somebody please help me ??

I just hauled out the notes I made while playing GK3. Did you drive to L'Homme Mort and see Madeline digging? Did you report back to Mosley? After I did that, I was able to draw the hexagram on the map.

One thing I was unable to do was to see Chester when I looked through the binoculars at the Tour of Magdala .So I had better check that out again

Good luck, Joy--sometimes it's almost impossible to figure out what you've missed with these games!

One thing to try if you absolutely can't get past this part--go back to your last save and play forward again, following a walkthrough step by step. I don't know why, but sometimes that shakes something loose and you can go on....

As is the case with all of the Gabriel Knight games, there are necessary tasks that you must complete in order to progress to the next day; there are tasks that can be carried over for one or two days but must eventually be completed; and, there are optional tasks that will give you extra points but aren't necessary to finish the game.

If you still haven't been able to progress to the next timeblock, did you purchase 3 postcards from the museum and scan them into Sidney? Did you locate the center of the circle at L'Hermitage and find the note in the cave? Did you click one of the postcards on the rock formation?

Back at Sidney, did you analyze the points between the Poussin Tomb and L'Hermitage?

Thanks for your reply and yes I did all those things , the one thing I havn't been able to do is to focus the binoculars from the tour Magdala to see Larry /chester at Blanchfort. ..have tried several time to no avail
that task is still in day 3 before I located the centr of circle cheers Joy

Here's a list of some of the things I did as Grace during the 7 am - 10 am timeblock of Day 3.

- take keys to Harley from table and notice Larry's "Bloodlines" book
- do search of bloodlines in Sidney
- notice Mosley's room key in inventory
- search Mosley's room and find traqcking device under pants on floor
- go to bike shop and ride to L'Ermitage
- follow path and take note taped to inside of cave
- use tracking device to locate center of circle and Grace will mark
- dig with shovel, but nothing
- return to Rennes-le-Chateau
- go to museum and read postcards
- buy 3 (at top of rack)
- return to room and scan postcards into Sidney
- click on "Run Analysis" one at a time and follow instructions
- do search on Solomon
- draw line on map from L'Ermitage to Poussin's Tomb
- do search on St. Vincent, Temple of Solomon and Floor Plan
- drive to L'Homme Mort and see Madeline digging
- report back to Mosley
- talk to Buchelli and Madeline in hotel dining room
- add last symbol to map

Hi Susan, Many thanks for all your help. I am finally making progress. The trouble was I was so sure I had built the wall correctly that I didnt check the co-ordinates and when I did I found I was one grid too far over, so when I corrected it BINGO I was able to use the hexagram.
I feel so stupid!!!but at the same time relieved.
Its lovely to know all you people are there when I need you. Hopefully I will be able to sail along now.

Congrats on moving on. You'll know when you've got the correct shapes and coordinates on Le Serpent Rouge because they'll be permanently afixed to the map and you won't be able to move them.

Don't ever feel stupid when you make a mistake because we've all been there. Enjoy the rest of the game and holler if you need any more help.
