Today's game for Club Members, tomorrow's game for all. You can download Awakening: The Golden Age Collector's Edition here. Before Queen Sophia was born, the Human Kingdom lived in an age of glory: the golden age. However, this age too had its dark times. Beneath a veneer of peace, war has come with minotaurs invading human villages. But there is more to this war than meets the eye, and you must uncover it. The minotaurs claim that humans have been starving them, but how could this be true? Escape your village, investigate the truth, and journey to the ends of the kingdom and into its castles, meeting allies with unique abilities that can help you. Uncover the secrets behind the war, or the kingdom of your birth will be destroyed!

I haven't contacted them yet. I think all my drivers are current, and I checked the system requirements for this game, and they're pretty normal. If I recall, when this happened to me before, they came out with a patch after a few days.
-------------
I did post something on their tech forum Let's see what happens.
BTW, searching the BigFish forums for "no cursor" generated over 21,000 results! Guess I'm not alone.

I bought this "prequel" because I also liked the other games in the Awakening series. It was disappointing for several reasons. First, it was very short, even by HOG standards (main game took just over three hours to finish!). I bought the CE version and I am starting the Bonus game this morning, but not expecting to be wowed at this point. Second, there were no significant puzzles to solve. The usual searches for the pieces you need to complete each scene were made WAY too easy and the occasional mini-games offered no challenge. Third, the scale of the game was significantly reduced from previous games in the Series.
Did the game designers of this series decide to "dumb down" their game, to make it appeal to a larger audience? These games already are easy, plus you can choose a level of difficulty when you start the game, from "Hold My Hand" all the way to "Let Me Figure it Out, Please." I played on the harder setting, and can't imagine there being anything at all to the game if you played on the easier ones. Oh, and you can SKIP any puzzle you like.
As I said, I was let down by the game. I won't be buying any further games in this series, if they arise, and possibly no further games from this company.

I bought this yesterday with the sale. I really liked all the Awakenings and I'm enjoying it.
