Well MaG, I have tried dark spots, light spots, no spots and still cannot get across the first set of clouds. I've tried taking little steps, bigger steps, straight steps, angle steps - I fell at least 15 times - again - and I am not much farther than when I asked for help the first time. Do I get across near the bottom of the screen? Anymore suggestions - from anybody? I'm getting no where fast!

I'm afraid I can't help, Butterfly--there is an alternate route up into the sky, and that's the way I went. Remember that locked door set in the side of the hill? Once I got the golden key, I used it on the door and there was a rather tricky walkway that led up to the giant's land. I have a feeling that it's the way you will go back down after you've accomplished the mission up there. If you can't get over those clouds, you might give the alternate route a try...

Edit - Finally saw your previous post - Can you just continue the same thread so that we don't have to look for the other post to learn what you have prewiously done. Also that thread will be open and somebody else might answer with out seeing this new one. Thanks.

Anyway, I replayed that part:
Start by standing around SE of the beanstalk, move East 8xs on white fluffy bottom cloud until the next screen.
On next screen, move once NE, then East 7xs to solid ground.

MaG: I have already gone se from the beanstalk. I have gone to the next screen where there is a full set of clouds. I have been back and forth - in and out - mostly down and out. It has not helped to just go se from the beanstalk. I know which direction I'm supposed to go, but I can't there from here. I keep falling through the clouds. I've tried the dark blue spots and the white clouds - nothing is working. I thought someone might have a certain route that they followed. I know I'm supposed to be near the bottom of the screen, which is where I'm starting from on the screen with the beanstalk, but when I go to the next screen, I'm not near the bottom, I'm up a little higher. When I try to go to the bottom of this second screen, I fall through the clouds. I can't believe they made this walking through the clouds so difficult - or at least it seems that way to me. Maybe I'll just let it alone for a while. Thanks anyway.

I gave you the route after replaying it as posted above. The directions by the beanstalk was to go SE ONCE (which I should have stated clearly) then East 8xs to the next screen which you stated you are in already. Then, as I said before, once you are on the next screen - move once NE, then East 7xs to solid ground.
You should NOT be at the bottom once you move to this next screen - in fact you should go higher once and then East.

Try doing it as per directions above.

MaG: Tah Dah, well I finally did it. I finally figured out what the problem was. You see in the clouds there was this area of green. I thought it was the ground (you're in the clouds and . . .) so I've been trying to go around the green and not straight across. Didn't realize that the green was part of the giant's domain. Thanks for your patience.

Glad to hear you are moving again, Butterfly. I don't remember if I've said this before or not, but don't give the cheese you get from the witch's house to the woodcutter! I did that, and got stopped right at the very end of the game. <img border="0" alt="" title="" src="graemlins/cry.gif" /> To see the ending, I had to go all the way back almost to the beginning and play through it again--except I used a walkthrough this time...
