This is a tough one to answer. You have missed doing something that triggers the red box to be active.
I will do some research to see if I can help, but "no promises!" smile

Part of the clue says to "Find the room with the view". Did you look a the view when you went to the top of the tower? Maybe you have to do that to validate the clue and trigger the red box to work.

Did you ever stop to think and then forget to start again?

Robert,

Go back to a saved game. I read your old posts and saw that you did it before. Maybe you missed a step and replaying will get you over the hump. luck

Look around at the foyer and then see if she is in the kitchen.

Robert, I had the same problem that you are having when I started playing this game - and I couldn't meet Mrs. Dalton in the kitchen. It turns out that I got "stuck" because I hadn't looked at and read the entry plaque by the front door twice - the plaque where you read Centre for Cognitive Abnormality Research. I actually ended up having to start the game over from the beginning, then I read the entry plaque twice when I was able to do so - and then I was able to meet Mrs. Dalton in the kitchen when I was supposed to. If looking at the plaque twice at the point where you are in the game now doesn't help, then unfortunately my suggestion is to restart the game from the beginning and make sure that you read the plaque twice when you are able to do so. My son ran up against a dead end in this game in this sequence as well - he hadn't looked at the plaque twice either, and he couldn't meet Mrs. Dalton in the kitchen as a result.

Press the M key or click on the map found under the progress icon on the cards-mask icon at top left of the screen (left of inventory).

See if that map comes up on the screen.

If you have done everything and triggered Christchurch, it should be there. Keep us posted.
