Hi fellow Boomers, I am currently playing the Nosebound Demo. The game crashes every time I'm in the phone booth outside the Police Station. It happens just after "dialing" the number of Bertrand Kovacks. After dialing a video starts and you hear the phone ringing. At THAT point the game crashes. I have even lowered the graphic settings from 32 Bit down to 16 Bit, but the same thing happens. I have a WIN XP pc with a Nvidia GEFORCE GT 430 video card. There currently is no Support option on the Indiegogo website. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Sandy

You need to report the problem to the developer. You may have to be a member of Indiegogo to do that, but it looks like you contact him through the pink "CONTACT USER" link here https://www.indiegogo.com/individuals/109879
Thanks, Jenny I registered with the website and then sent a message. I then got a message in RED which says: "You can only send messages to people that you are connected to through a project." Very strange! BTW, the game crashes during a cutscene just before the end of the demo. Sandy

Hi Sanford. Diego here, developer of NoseBound. Thanks for your Feedback on the Demo. I'll run a few tests on Nvida Cards to see what I can find, but this looks like an incompatibility with the video format of the cutscene. Because at that moment, the only thing executing is the cutscene. I'm sorry you couldn't end the Demo. You can leave a comment on the IndieGoGo page so we can notify you when we push an update. Thanks.
Stanford: Could you please give me the full specs of your PC?. memory, processor, monitor, card.
And have you tried the demo using the "use desktop resolution" checkbox?. This forces the game to work on your actual settings, and some incompatibilities gets fixed using this mode. It builds a black letterbox around the game to adjust any difference between the game res. and your actual res. settings. Please if you try it let me know.
Hello Diego, Thank you very much for your input. As far as using the "Desktop Resolution", all I get is a black screen (and sound). My specs are: Win XP SP3, 3.5 gigs of Ram. I have a Nvidia GEFORCE GT430 Video card, An Intel Pentium 4 3.00 GHz processor, and a Dell Monitor (and a Dell PC) I hope that I've given you enough info. I sure hope that I will be able to play the full version of the game. It's quite fascinating. Thanks. Sandy
Thank you for your patience. I believe that the problem is your hardware, mainly your CPU. Nosebound Cutscenes are compressed in OGV Theora video format. This is a highly complex video codec, it gives you great video quality for the smallest hard drive space. The unfortunate is that it takes all the power from your processor (as most video codecs do), and Pentium 4 is an old CPU for this kind of task. Video decoding are the most demanding tasks for a CPU, they are complex algorithms to be solved in real-time in order to exchange a few mathematical graphs (that don't occupy much space), for the position and color of a pixel in time, before you notice. I believe that when you reach this cut-scene your CPU and your memory is already loaded with a few things from playing the game so it can't keep on with decoding the video, thus the game crashes. We´ve tested the game on Windows XP so we know for sure that is not the operative system. And the video card should do the work because the game is not that heavy in terms of realtime graphics.
Sorry not being able to help you with this. thanks,
Thanks so much for your reply, Diego, although it's not really what I wanted to hear (LOL). I guess I will just have to skip this game. I wish you luck on your venture. Sandy
