I have tried all suggestions for this puzzle and it is frustrating. I cannot get both lenses in at the same time, one or the other pops out, then when I move to the next telescope, the previous one looks like the colors have gone. I think I have all the blue colors to the outside and when I climb the walkway, they are colorless! I am using the mouse and ctrl on keyboard. Anyway of talking me thru this? Just to see if this will get you through.

Delete all saved games done at the telescope ramp.
Go back to a saved game prior to entering the tower.
Do the telescope puzzles without saving.
..
.
Click on a telescope.
The filters will automatically go on the filter holders.
Click on one filter and it should move over the telescope lens.
Click the other filter and it should move it over the telescope lens.
Do not right click or move out of zoom-closeup mode.
Look closer or click the telescope lens to look through the lens and see a closeup of the gates.
The blue gate should be on the outside.
If you need to change - click on lower button to rotate the gates.
Do not click on the top button or it will remove the filters.
There is a ramp that has 2 telescope - be sure to check both of them.

When you walk the ramp - the gates will be colorless because you are not seeing it through the filters.

Are you strictly using the keyboard or do you also have another input device such as a mouse or touchpad? The problem with using the keyboard here is that you can only perform one action at a time.

I had the same problem at this point in the game. When I saved my game here it messed something up and I couldn't use my touchpad anymore. So I had to use the keyboard.

I'll tell you what I had to do to resolve this problem:

1. I copied my saved games to a temporary folder so that I could copy them back later.

2. Uninstalled the game. I had to manually remove some files that were left behind including my saved games. (hence the reason why I made a copy of them first) I also got rid of any empty folders associated with the game.

3. Reinstalled the game. ( I know this is a pain in the rump) And then replaced my saved games from the temporary folder.

I was again able to use my touchpad.

Please note that I was having techinical problems with the game from the Grand Tower to the end. I ended up repeating this process a total of four times before I got to the end of the game.

Hopefully for you it is just a matter of adding a mouse.
