The phone call from Arnett's won't come until a little later on. Every time I've played the game, I've had to wait a good long while for that call to get an appointment with Roger Arnett. So just continue on, don't worry about it, it'll happen. Just make sure that you pay attention to the red entries in your journal, see if you can do anything to grey those out. Also revisit all locations inside and outside of the pyramid, and speak to everyone. Dialogue is absolutely critical in this game -- the whole experience is dialogue driven.

Did examining the leaflet solve your problem with the glue preparation?

According to MaG's strategy guide:

Quote:
Goals or things to do are written in red ink in the diary, once completed they turn to black ink.

It sounds like eventually they will all turn to black ink.

Yes, they'll all turn black eventually, but some tasks just can't be completed until much later in the game. Work through what you can in the meantime.

hi Rushes, i am following oldmariner's walkthrough. at day 6, Phoenix's office, 'examine the pictured. the boss suggested she investigate'. is this a typo? i am confused! what is meant by this? robert.

Yes, it could be a typo. If you're following the walkthrough, it sounds as if you next need to search for the impersonator on the census database. So continue from there.

Hi Robert, try clicking on Search while on the computer, and then see if the Census Database comes up as an option.

Were you informed that hackers have gotten into your file?
Did you use that hacker file on Data Processing/Image Processing pages?

Then you can proceed to decode it now. Check the guide for the solution.

hi Mag, how can i proceed with a crossed out hand? unless i am misreading the guide, no obvious mention is made to a crossed-out hand. i have spent a lot of time on this game so i am very prepared to be corrected as i was convinced i was stymied. robert.

The Hexadecimal editor appears after the File Corrupted result.
See several red ? that are needed to be decoded. Based on the reference numbers-letters above the puzzle, find out the number or letter corresponding to the red (?).
Start with a group of 4 that has one red question mark first. Click the question mark until they turn blue. Continue on until all the single red question marks set are decoded.

I don't know what to tell you. It might help if you go back to a saved game and play over. It might show you what you are missing.

I think you have been using oldmariner's walkthrough sequence - so use that. The guide is not in a step by step sequence.

You want to go to station omega 10 (not 8). Go to metro station and the to the sign omega 10.
