Viktor is a classical 2D point and click adventure game set in a cartoonish late 19th century about a wild pig who tries to cope with the loss of his job by going on a quest to become a new Emperor of Austria-HungaryYou can access the demo Here. View the screenshots here. Check out the Kickstarter here. Viktor is an impulsive, but a good-hearted boar whose recent job loss has pushed him over the edge. He decided it’s time to take matters into his own hands and become the ruler of the Austro-Hungarian Empire!
On his quest, he will engage in all sorts of adventures like an airship fight, meeting the love of his life in an anarchist basement, helping Tesla test a brand new incredible machine and lots of other crazy stuff that may or may not involve sex, drugs and classical music.
World and characters
A crazy, crazy world A crazy, crazy world Viktor’s cartoon world is not entirely different from our world. Each country is either a semi-historical representation of a real country, or a flat-out parody that may or may not have people laughing with anger.
You’ll meet a great number of characters in the game who will often be bizarre, and sometimes based on real people such as the genious inventor antilope Tesla or the dog Emperor Franz Joseph.
Puzzles and mini-games Unlike modern adventure games and interactive movies, we wanted to give you options to interact with the world. Most objects and people in the game can be looked at, talked to, kicked or taken, but in a way that most puzzles are still solvable in a simple and logical way (mostly).
From time to time, the story will feature a mini-game just to keep you screaming.
Feels just like real life! Feels just like real life! Soundtrack
Luckily, music popular in Viktor’s era is now considered public domain so you can expect a lot of lovely classical compositions ranging from Mozart to Scott Joplin.
Viktor’s theme was composed by a classical music aficionado Filip Pobran. If we get enough pledges, we can hire him to do a lot more.
Happy Gaming! Ana
