I'm playing Dragon Age Inquisitions and have been getting a lot of crashes to desktop. I've read that Bioware is supposedly working with Nvidia to address the problem that some of us are having. (I have a GeForce GTX 660)

Some of the forums on the troubleshooting forum at Bioware have suggested turning off Overclocking but I have no idea what that is.

So my question is: How do you do it and is it too complicated for someone like me who is not tech savvy?

If you have not manually overclocked your processor or video card, you do not have anything turn off.

Brief definition is:

Overclocking is the process of forcing a computer or component to operate faster than the manufactured clock frequency (hence the name "overclocking"). Operating voltages may also be changed (increased), which can increase the speed at which operation remains stable.

If you want to know what is involved in overclocking, here's the Wikihow article:

I doubt you'd have done something like that without knowing it.

Thank you Drac and Jenny. I guess I'll just have to wait for the patch and hope it helps. I am able to play the game despite the crashes and when I go back to the same place it crashed it works just great. It's more of an inconvenience than anything else and I just figure that the crashes are part of the cost of playing this game.
