Haarlem, The Netherlands – December 5th, 2014 – Having released a revamped version of Darkness Within: In Pursuit of Loath Nolder on Steam just three weeks ago, Iceberg Interactive and developer Zoetrope Interactive are now delighted to announce today’s Steam launch of the Director’s Cut Edition of the sequel, Darkness Within 2: The Dark Lineage.

In The Dark Lineage players once again take the role of police detective Howard Loreid, where he discovers that his own horrible past is somehow connected to the madness that is about to swallow him.

As one of the few games that have actually captured the H.P. Lovecraft vibe, the Darkness Within series creates an unsettling atmosphere, making the player feel uneasy throughout the game, without reverting to actual gore. This is perhaps best illustrated in the brand new trailer, when the main character refers to the voices only he can hear: “Hearing this, I know that every sane person would call me mad, and I truly hope I am...”
