Lost in the Arizona Desert
Hi all,

I just got this game from Zodiac. It is downloaded and installed and it won't run in full screen. When I check run in windowed mode instead of full screen the game starts and runs. However, when I try to run it in full screen the game opens to the logo and then crashes to desktop. It leaves me an icon on my toolbar but when I click the icon it repeats the opening screen and the crash.

Anyone have any ideas why the full screen mode won't work?

E002 Graphic problems
Run winsetup.exe and adjust Graphics Filter setting for higher resolutions. Click 'Save and run'.

Most of our games require DirectX 9.0 to play. Sound & graphics issues may occur without it.

Problem initializing graphics mode

If you have an error "This graphics mode is not supported" then you'll need to adjust the screen settings for the game. Go to "game configuration" from your Start menu or find the folder with the game files and run "winsetup.exe". From there, lower or raise the "graphics filter" and click "Save and run" to try again. Note: Not all our games allow this adjustment.

Thanks Jenny for your research. I finally found the folder where the game is kept. It seems with Zodiac the folders are all in Appdata/Local. It took some searching but I finally found it. The suggestions from their tech support didn't work but what did work was, once I found the folder, I was able to run the program with the compatibility wizard and that did work. The game is now playing fine.

I'm just posting this in case anyone else happens to get the game and has the same problem.

Whew!

Hi Oldman,
I'm very glad that you finally got the game to run. I fortunately did not have any problems running this game on my "good old" WIN XP computer. I just finished the game and enjoyed it very much. Are you aware that there is a translatable walkthrough on a Dutch website? I found it by "googling" "The Apotheosis Project walkthrough". ENJOY!
Sandy

Thanks for posting what worked for you.
I've never had a game install its entire game folder into AppData\Local
though some games put saves and/or configuration files in there.

Jenny: Sometimes it's a quest in itself just to find the game folder. lol

Sandy: thanks for the tip. I found the walkthrough and it is handy.
