Finally was all set to play this game and it won't play. Giving me an access violation error. I have uninstalled it and am now re-downloading it. Hope that works. I really do not like the Big Fish Ap at all and find it quite annoying! Took several attempts to get to the point where I can re-download it. Maybe in the future, I should just buy 1 game at a time instead of multiples. It always has to go through each game in the order before you can do anything. By the time it reinstalls I probably won't feel like playing it anymore.

Sorry, disappointed and frustrated! Typing helps get that out.

I hope the redownload works for you. I have had this access violation message a few times in the past.

This may not help, but it might be worth taking a look at it nevertheless.

Thank you Marian. If it does not work, I'll try the "run as administrator" and/or the anti-virus thing. Drivers and DirectX should be okay.

What solved your problem when you had it?

I honestly don't remember. I do, though, always run the game from a desktop shortcut rather than through the Game Manager. I had this happen with a couple of games, this access violation message - with one game, sometimes it would start and sometimes I would get that message instead. I did manage to get through the whole game, but it took a bit of patience.

Be sure to write to Customer Support if you can't remove this roadblock.

I do always use a desktop shortcut, but when the error comes up it opens the Game Manager and I always seem to have trouble with it for some reason. Anyway, I'm at 71% downloaded and I will certainly contact Customer Support if need be.

Thanks again!

Nothing like an access violation message to take the wind out of your sails when you are looking forward to playing a game. Glad you're going to write to them if you continue to have problems. wave12

Marian,

2-1/2 hours later (wasting my precious Sunday play time), it appears it may have been something with my computer after all. While waiting for that last 30% to download I tried to play solitaire and received this message: failed to create directx device. When the game finished downloading, it activated and was "ready to install" but Big Fish stopped responding which it always does at this point (on my computer anyway). I have learned to wait that out but it went on too long today so I closed it with Task Manager and restarted my computer. First I checked Solitaire and it was okay so I went back to Big Fish, installed the game and all seems well now, thank goodness. So I am off to PLAY!!!
