Hi Everyone, Does anyone here know if I can play this game on WindowXP? It keeps sayin there's not enough space on my hard drive. It needs 15MB and I have 224MB.Any help will be great. Thanks. Luv, Joanie

Joanie, I don't know much about XP (thank goodness laugh ), but I wonder if that message is actually about hard drive space. Could it possibly be referring to memory...

Hi Joanie,

Did you try that 'compatibility mode'?

Hi Joanie,

Open your main hard drive, then program files, open up to the Broken Sword folder.

Look for the Broken sword application file - sometimes it has an .exe after it.

Then right click on that file. Select 'properties'.

A new frame will show up. Select 'Compatibility'.

Then on Compatibility - place a check mark on 'Run on etc. etc etc....

Then select what OS Broken Sword recommends - Win 95 or Win 98.

Be sure to click 'Apply'.

Close all folder and play the game!

Good luck and hope it works!

MaG

Joanie, memory is used by all the programs you have running in the background. Sometimes there are enough of them that it fouls you up even though you have a lot of memory. Then you can ctl-alt-del out of everything but Explorer and Systray to get most of it back again.

You might just give that a try if the compatibility mode doesn't work...

Joanie, I have Windows XP Home edition and just finished Shadow of the Templars. It plays great if you do what MaG said and use the compatibility mode. You can also just open the Compatibility program in your Programs/Accessories menu and follow the instructions...just click "use the program in the CDRom drive" when you get to that part! Have fun!

Rae

Lemme 'splain...no, is too much. Lemme sum up.

I have xp and have circle of blood addition (u.s.)and it ran fine on xp, without doing compatability mode. You'd think they would have the same requirements.....

Hi All My Boomer Buddies,Sorry I didn't get back to you all sooner as my e-mail server was down this morning. I am happy to report that I used the compatabililty mode to install the game and it works fine. When I had trouble getting on line I thought maybe somehow the compatability mode was to blame so I took it off. Well it wasn't that, but it is off now, and the game is playing perfectly. I can't thank you all enought for all your help. I just love this place and I just love you guys too. Thanks again. Joanie
