This a.m. got an email asking if I wanted to install Abobe Air. Never heard of it and want to make sure it is safe. Any input would be very much appreciated.

Thanks.

Seems to be safe enough, although I've never run it -

Adobe Air - Wiki

Just make sure it doesn't install any "bloat-Ware" add-ons when you install it.

Some applications need it - I have the Jacquie Lawson Advent Calendar which requires Adobe Air.

Laurette-

I installed Adobe Air (probably for my iTunes application), but you mentioned that you got an email asking if you wanted to install it. I would make sure that email was from a legitimate/reputable source. I don't recall getting emails asking me to install software.

Good point, ewil02. I have never gotten an email either. If you do install it, laurette, make sure you don't use any links in that email... do it from the Adobe website.

The fact that it came in an email should make alarm bells go off all over the place.
