Can anyone please help me out with Black Dahlia ??

I am really stuck - trying to trigger the meeting with Lou Fischterwald at The Raven Club.

I've checked three walkthroughs and have done everything they describe - although not in the same order - but when I ask to see Lou (over the club intercom) I am always told to come back later as the club is still closed.

[I haven't installed the patch as I don't know what it's for. Could it be that ??]

If I remember correctly, it's so long ago now since I played this game, that the patch addressed a problem at 2 points in the game (a) the hotel room when clicking on a wardrobe door and (b) the attic - a hotspot on the attic floor when on each occasion of 'clicking the hotspot' the player was returned to his desktop (most annoying at that time I recall )

Did you search the lobby of the Raven Club properly?

Finding Louis :

I found the Holy Card in the lobby of the Raven Club- which gave me the address of the mission.
I got the photo from behind Ernie's reception desk at the mission.
I've shown the photo to the police.
I've done the stained glass window puzzle.
I've got the parchment info. from Helen at the museum.

Apart from applying the patch and starting from the beginning again and doing things in a different order, I don't know what else to try <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="confused.gif" />

Show the photo to Merylo AND tell him that Winslow is an idiot. Return to Louie and show him the photo. He'll want to meet you in a safe place.

When you have the photo go (via the map) to the museum and speak to Helen. Then turn to the desk in the museum and read 2 books thereon. Then go and see Merylo. Then go back to the Raven Room and Louie should be there!

I've already done what you suggested but Louis isn't at the Raven Club

BTW. Just got a reply from Mr.Bill's where I'm told the patch is definitely necessary - but it doesn't destroy save games.

Well, after starting over 3 times and never getting to meet Louis - I installed the patch - and then I actually met him

But when the dialogue with him is finished and I try to show him the photo I stole from Ernie (at the mission) I get crashed back to Desktop every time

Changed resolution to 640x480 and colour to 256 and NO CRASH !!!!
