I cannot get across the frozen lake.

I have operated the 6 valves - two lots of 3 - and touched the heat drawing on the slate, the Bahro has done his stuff with the slate, but I cannot get across the lake. I think I can see a brown path but cannot get to it.
Can someone please give me a shove to tell me where I am going wrong?

This walkthrough here might of some help. The information about Taghira starts about two-thirds of the way down the page.

Let us know if you remain stuck and we'll see if we can find more advice for you.

Managed to get across the lake - I had to replay the age, and all of the path appeared, so I must have gone wrong originally with the 3 settings somewhere.
However (there always seems to be a 'however'), I cannot seem to get the perishing Bahro to take my excellent drawing on the slate to the keep.
He takes it away allright, though he doesn't take it to the keep.
Is there a trick to the drawing? - I make it is large as possible given the constraints of the slate.
I have tried it with and without what looks like half height rectangle along the edge of the lower of the 2 rectangles, but the stubborn Bahro refuses to take my superbly drawn slate to the Keep.

Looking around on other forums, someone with the same problem was given the advice to try re-drawing the Keep symbol (and that apparently the behavior exhibited by the Bahro is quite normal).

I can't advise as to how exactly it should be drawn, unfortunately.

Here's a video walkthrough of Taghira - if this is approximately where you are in the game - it might give you an idea of how to do the drawing.

That worked OK - thank you Marian.

On to Noloben - who thinks up these funny names?

Myst 5 is an extremely touchy, pernickety game.
