Is there a way to skip the gates nonsense at the end of this. Messed about for an hour (yes even with the walkthrough) and I'm losing the will to live. Enjoyed the first two chapters of this but Blood Bath is a real stinker. Awful rope puzzle, which I just skipped, then a maze (really? in 2014?), which I just cheated through, and now this drivel which hopefully can be skipped as well. Anyone know how? I just want this misery to end:-)

Maybe a saved game if it cant be skipped.

Maze? This is the way to the temple after the rope. You have the clues or way to go given to you. So you select the entryway and walk the stairs.
I enjoyed solving the gate puzzle.

I'm sorry - I can't help you with saves. My saves are beta saves and won't work for you.
Maybe someone else can help.

Well I must have missed the clues for the maze.

The gate puzzle Ive got Watson stuck in the part with 3 wheels. There are 2 possible wheels for Holmes to turn. When I turn either then go back to Watson and make him release the one he is holding (the one on the right) he cant go anywhere else as he is locked in that part. Ive really messed up somewhere.

I think you missed a step here.
The procedure is to open-close cells for Holmes and then open-close cells for Watson.
You open the cell for Watson, then Watson opens the cell for Holmes, etc...
Holmes has one wheel outside and 3 in the inner aisle (left of stairs).
Watson has 2 wheels on 2 cells at right side of stairs.

See if you can start over before turning wheels.

Hi monbron,

You can only use the "q" key when Holmes has turned and is still holding onto one of the wheels. You'll then see an icon of Watson at top right of your game screen which tells you that you can now switch. luck

Can I have some help on where to stand to visualise Montague's death, I have tried standing all over the place - inside, outside and I can only get the 1st 2 deductions I can never get falling in the pond. I do not get the 'F' hint so if it wasn't for MaG's wt I would not have known - should I be seeing an F on the right hand side? I have tried the Q for sequence but Sherlock says I am wrong - Help holidays

If you can't visualize the falling in the pond shadow or the F key - it means that you have not examined all the clues.
Best to check the blood on the floor and the sign by the pond again.

To number the 3 figures, use the F key (which should appear if all clues are examined) to see the figures-shadows. Best to stand inside the Colonial display room.
After that press the Q key when it appears to see the sequence. luck
