I am stuck on the floating island puzzle. I have tried it several times according to the walkthru and nothing happens. Sometimes when I do the two leaves and the pull the mask the sounds stays on until the next set and sometimes it doesn't. Is it supposed to stay on? I have also had times in this game where I can't move properly. Can someone please help?

Thanks,

Debbie eek

Debbie, there are other posts that kinda look like the ones with the leaves. Be very sure you are counting correctly, from one to the other. This messed me up a few times. When you get the right ones in the right order, they stay on till the next ones are set.

As far as the movement, I found the movement here very awkward, as well. I was very glad to complete this puzzle - too much backtracking!

Thanks Fairygdmther, I got it now. It helped getting out of the game and then restarting the game starting from my save. I think my computer hung up on some of the sounds preventing me from getting it earlier. This game does have some glitches!

Thanks,

Debbie wink

Yes, this puzzle does not reset at all and you have to back to a saved game for it to work. Glad you got through, Debbie! smile

I have put the shells and mastadon hair in the water and picked up the clean vegetable lens but cannot get the fisherman to talk to me about the Alley of Initiation did I miss a step somewhere to trigger this? I talked to Bares Mohul too.

Continue with the game and once in a while go to the fisherman and see if he will talk to you. This part with the fisherman is not necessary at this moment. I found it only on my replay. Later in the game, you would need to really talk with him.

I couldn't get the floating island puzzle to work either. I finally tracked it down to prematurely clicking on the child next to the fisherman. Even though there wasn't a hot spot I was taken directly to the submarine dock. When I restarted from a save before that happened I was able to finish the floating islands puzzle without any problems.

I am at the Floating Island. Am I supposed to look at the posts at the arch leading to the Island if so I can only look at number 3,4 and 5 I can't look at the others. The hand only appears at 3,4 and 5. It seems to me that the sounds are all correct when I place the leaves over the posts and pull the tongue. When I get on the island I still have to tell Adam I need some things and have to go back to get them.

I have done this at least 15 times but cannot get the island to settle down I get on and it rises again. I have the vegetable lens the sounds seem to are right when I cover the posts because the island comes down. So I am doing that part right. I am following Mags WT. WHAT AM I MISSING? Any help is greatly appreciated.

If I am understanding what you say - the island comes down but you cannot get on?

If the island goes down, just click on the island to get up on the island. It doesn't completely settle down on the ground. smile

It comes clear down for me to get on but rises again about a foot off of the ground and I cant get off. The "come down"in the conversation lets me off I pull the tongue and it does not lower the island because I am supposed to do something else but I dont know what I am to do.
