In the police station for the first time. I've gotten the men to return to work, well sortive. Anyway, I'm supposed to take the screwdriver and open the door. I cannot find it anywhere. I finally had her put the two wires together and get through the door after sidetracking the sargeant. Since I could find the screwdriver and was able to get into the room anyway, I thought I was okay. Now I discover that I need the screwdriver to get whatever it is off of the downed plane outside of the police station. Does this mean I have to do everything all over again to get the screwdriver or can I redo just that section and return to this section?

The screwdriver is on the floor by the toolbox, in the reception area of the Police Station.

Since you were so nice in replying at all considering my remarks, could I get you to tell me if I have to redo everything in order to get from the point where I pick up the screwdriver and to where I actually have to use it on the plane?

No, kszanz, I don't think you have to do everything all over again. I think u just have to go back into the police station, if you left there, grab the screwdriver and leave. As I recall you can only get the screwdriver after you've looked in the archives anyway. It shouldn't be there beforehand.
