Hi. Does anyone have the name of a good Ad blocker?

Ad Blocker Plus is the one I use on most of the computers I work on. It's a browser add-on. I know you already use CCleaner, but that and the free Malwarebytes will keep most of the ads down - unless you have some malware or an add-on that got installed during a download.

I don't think malware is a problem however and add-on is a big probabilty so I checked and disabled everything. I don't mind saying just trying to use the pc, thinking your being safe is not a given. Why is there no way to remove the add-ons?

Maybe malware isn't a problem, but many times malware also causes popups and ads. If you get these stupid add-ons that come piggy-backed on downloads, they are very difficult to remove. Remember how you had dozens and dozens of them on the Vista computer? If you have a particular one, post what it is... there are some things you can do, but sometimes they are very stubborn and you just have to disable. Adwcleaner has been very effective for me in removing some of the worst ones... but each one is different.
