One of the treasures that I have available to use when starting a new chapter is described as "potion drop is greatly increased", and was an upgrade to an earlier one described as "potion drop is increased". What the heck is a potion drop?

I haven't played the second Bookworm Adventures game, but I think I can guess at the general idea of a "potion drop." I believe this refers to potions that you find/pick up that you can use to your advantage; therefore, potion drop being increased means that there is more likelihood that this will happen, which of course is a good thing.

The word "drop" is RPG-related terminology, where "drops" mean what loot you might find on enemies after you have dispatched them.

If I'm wrong about what this means in Bookworm Adventures 2, hopefully someone will come along and correct me.

I didn't even realise there WAS a guide - so thanks BrownEyedTigre - but I keep this game permanently installed and to my mind an "increase in potion drop" just means more will appear on your playable tiles than might normally smile

When you defeat one of the baddies, occasionally you will pick up a potion. It sounds like it's supposed to increase that. I tried that treasure for one chapter, and of the 5 baddies defeated in that chapter, I only picked up one potion. I wouldn't call that "greatly increased".

Thanks for the link to the guide, Ana. There's a lot of good info there.

I agree, Uncle Reg, that that's what one would expect. But I think just more appear on the play tiles smile

No, it specifies "potion drop". Those that appear on the play tiles are gems, not potions. There are only three potions, Health, Power-Up and Purify. They are represented on the top row of the left-hand panel by the bottles with the red heart, green fist and blue plus sign, respectively.

Yes. You are right Uncle Reg. !! I do apologise. And, as I play this game at least once every week, I don't know what I was thinking about !! blush

And I agree that when I have selected the "greatly increased potion drop" there has not BEEN any significant increase shocked
